Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood, Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood, Dorking which extends from the southern property boundary line of “No. 8 Russ Hill Cottages” to the southwestern property boundary line of “Edgemount”. Alternative Route – Partridge Lane (C60), Blanks Lane (C61) and Stan Hill (C61) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Bridge Street (D2885) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Bridge Street (D2885) Leatherhead; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Bridge Street (D2885) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” in its entirety; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Bridge Street (D2885) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (1) North Street, Station Road, Waterway Road, and Guildford Road; (2) Guildford Road, Waterway Road, Station Road, Station Approach, Randalls Road, Bull Hill, and North Street. This Order is required to facilitate new gas mains connection works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Linden Gardens (D2545) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Linden Gardens (D2545) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with (D2545) St Johns Close to its junction with (X8064) Limes Close. This Order is required to facilitate sewer cover replacement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 10am and 3pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Beech Farm Road (C78) Warlingham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Beech Farm Road (C78) Warlingham as extends from its junction with (C76) Fairchildes Lane and (C76) Hesiers Hill to its junction with (D451) Washpond Lane. Alternative Route: Hesier Hill, Beddlestead Lane, (B2024) Clarks Lane, (B269) Limpsfield Road, and Beech Farm Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland as extends from its junction with (C90) High Street to its junction with (D412) Mutton Hill. Alternative Route: (1) High Street and New Farthingdale, or this route in reverse; (2) Mutton Hill, High Street, and New Farthingdale, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works will be carried out in 2 phases, and it is anticipated the works will be carried out over 4 months between the hours of 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, Saturdays between the hours of 8am and 4pm, and Sundays if required, within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for resident, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if necessary.
All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the diversion routes.
Glovers Road (D324) and Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, equestrians and cyclists from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas mains replacement works during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 2 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians. Due to the nature of the works, access for emergency vehicles, equestrians and cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the diversion route.
Schedule
1. the entire length of Glovers Road (D324) Charlwood. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 2 May 2024 and 5 July 2024, between 7am and 6pm. There is no alternative route available for this closure; and 2. that length of Russ Hill (D323) Charlwood which extends from its junction with Glovers Road to the southern property boundary line of the property known as “Robins Farm”. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 2 May 2024 and 22 July 2024, between 7am and 6pm. Alternative Route – Charlwood Lane, Partridge Lane, Blanks Lane, Stan Hill, Norwood Hill Road and Rectory Lane.
Various Roads in Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Alternative Route 1 – B270 Westhall Road , B270 Hillbury Road, A22 Godstone Road, A2022 Mitchley Avenue (Croydon), A2022 Rectory Park (Croydon), B269 Limpsfield Road (Croydon) and B269 Limpsfield Road; Alternative Route 2 – C228 Chelsham Road, C228 Sunnybank, C217 Farleigh Road, C217 Old Farleigh Road, C217 Old Farleigh Road (Croydon), Addington Road (Croydon), Selsdon Park Road (Croydon), C76 Featherbed Lane (Croydon), C76 Featherbed Lane, C76 Fairchildes Lane, C78 Beech Farm Road and B269 Limpsfield Road. 2. that length of B2030 Coulsdon Road, Caterham which extends from its junction with Cromwell Road north-westwards to the boundary of the District of Tandridge and the London Borough of Croydon. Alternative Route – B2030 Coulsdon Road, B2030 Coulsdon Road (Croydon), A23 Brighton Road (Croydon), A23 Purley Road (Croydon), A22 Godstone Road (Croydon), A22 Godstone Road, B2208 Croydon Road, B2030 Station Avenue, B2030 Church Hill, B2030 Church Road, B2030 High Street, B2030 Town End and B2030 Banstead Road.
Sheephouse Lane (D285) and Damphurst Lane (D285) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Sheephouse Lane (D285) Wotton as extends from its junction with (A25) Guildford Road to its junction with (D285) Damphurst Lane; (b) Damphurst Lane (D285) as extends from its junction with (D285) Sheephouse Lane (Wotton) to its junction with (D285) Sheephouse Lane (Abinger); (c) Sheephouse Lane (D285) Abinger as extends from its junction with (D285) Damphurst Lane to its junction with (D286) Broadmoor Road; (d) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023” insofar as it affects the lengths of roads specified in this Notice. Alternative Route: (A25) Guildford Road, Hollow Lane, Abinger Lane, Leith Hill Road, and Sheephouse Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate highways improvements and/or maintenance works including but not limited to surface dressing and/or carriageway/ footway resurfacing and/or major highway maintenance works by, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 30 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. Vehicular access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route.
D272 Hole Hill, Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D272 Hole Hill, Dorking which comprises the level crossing and 15m either side. This Order is required to enable Network Rail to perform urgent works to maintain safety of the rail track. The Order will commence on 28 April 2024 for a period of 3 months and which continues in force “The Surrey County Council D272 Hole Hill, Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024”. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times via the diversion route, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route possible for this road closure.
Oast Road (D424) Hurst Green, Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Oast Road (D424) Hurst Green, Oxted which a) extends from its junction with Woodhurst Lane (D424) to the southeastern property boundary line of “Orchard House”; and b) extends from the southeastern property boundary line of “Orchard House” to the northeastern property boundary line of “8 Oast Road”. Alternative Route – Woodhurst Lane (D424), Hurst Green Road (D424), Greenhurst Lane (D428), Hurstlands (D472), Wolfs Hill (D428) and Rockfield Road (D428) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Village Street (C59) Newdigate, Dorking Rural Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Village Street (C59) Newdigate, Dorking Rural which extends from its junction with Underhill Road (X68803) to the northeastern property boundary line of “Cinderfield”. Alternative Route – a) Rusper Road (C59), Partridge Lane (C60) and Parkgate Road (C59); b) Henfold Lane (D301), Blackbrook Road (D301), Red Lane (D306), Brockhamhurst Road (D306), Leigh Road (C54), Shellwood Road (C54), Broad Lane (C59) and Parkgate Road (C59). The Order is required to allow Freeflow Traffic Management to carry out clear duct blockages which is anticipated to be completed within 7 days, between 9:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 14 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Rooks Lane (B2031) Chaldon Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians) from entering or proceeding in that length of the carriageway and footway of Rooks Lane (B2031) Chaldon which extends from its junction with Roffes Lane to its junction with Chaldon Common Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate drainage improvement works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, vehicular access to premises, including access by emergency vehicles, will not be maintained. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/ or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Alternative Route – Roffes Lane and Chaldon Common Road.
Hillside Road (D1386) Whyteleafe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hillside Road (D1386) Whyteleafe which extends from its junction with Brocklebank Court (X1386) to its junction with Alpha Court (X1386). Alternative Route – No diversion route available. The Order is required to allow Centurion Traffic Management to carry out bridge works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 nights, between 10:00pm and 6:00am, during the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Westerham Road (A25) Westerham Temporary Speed Limit Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be; a) to prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of; (a) the eastbound carriageway of Westerham Road (A25) Westerham as extends from its junction with (D476) Westerham Road to its junction with (C80) Moorhouse Road; and (b) the westbound carriageway of Westerham Road (A25) Westerham as extends from its junction with (C80) Moorhouse Road to its junction with (D476) Westerham Road; and (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Westerham Road (A25) Limpsfield (50 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2018” and any Speed Limit Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of road described in (a) and (b) of this Notice. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow a safe working zone in connection new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of ALS Civil. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 17 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 22 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary speed limit which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The speed limit imposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 or in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.
