THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD
WINDSOR HORSE SHOW
(TRAFFIC REGULATION, PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & CLOSURE OF FP NO. 9A) ORDER 2024
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead has made an Order, the effect
of which will be to:
• Prohibit vehicles, with the exception of Coaches, from making a right turn
onto the B470 King Edward VII Avenue from any gateway off the Home Park
[public]. The Prohibition will operate from 15.00hrs until 22.30hrs each day,
from Wednesday 1 May until Sunday 5 May 2024.
• Prohibit any vehicle from making a left turn onto the B470 King Edward
VII Avenue from any gateway from the King Edward VII Avenue Car Park.
The Prohibition will operate from 15.00hrs until 22.30hrs each day from
Wednesday 1 May until Sunday 5 May 2024.
• Close Footpath No. 9A for its entire length from 00.01hrs on Monday 29 April until 23.59hrs on Monday 6 May 2024.
All the restrictions shall apply at such times when traffic signs, as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016, are duly in place to indicate the said restrictions.
The purpose of the Order is because of the likelihood of danger to the public
due to an event to be held on land immediately adjacent to the public highway.
As a result, there will be an increase in vehicle numbers exiting onto the public highway and in order to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic, to prevent congestion and to avoid conflict with pedestrians, the prohibitions as described above are required to be implemented.
