Various Roads, Ilminster in the Parishes of Ilminster, Whitelackington, Ilton and Broadway (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024 Shindig Festival 2024

Notice is hereby given that Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce temporary traffic restrictions as detailed in the Schedules below. The Order will be made to facilitate the Shindig Festival 2024 and is in the interest of public safety. All closures will be signed and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary. The Order shall come into operation on the 9th of May 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months.

Statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
