What is happening?
West Sussex County Council
(Eastergate: Church Lane)
(Temporary One-Way Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Church Lane in Eastergate to eastbound traffic, from its junction with Barnham Road, westwards for a distance of 15 metres. This restriction is needed while temporary traffic lights are in place on Barnham Road during works to replace telecommunications cables.
The Order will come into effect on 29 April 2024 and remain in force until 10 May 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Milland: Milland Lane)
(Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Milland Lane between Rake Road and Portsmouth Road.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst fibre cabling works are undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 13 May 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on 13 May 2024 and will take place daily between 0830 and 1530 hours and will take 21 days to complete.

(Aldwick, Bognor Regis & Felpham: Bognor 10K Run)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 14 days from the date of this notice, West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the following roads in Bognor Regis and Felpham:
Silverston Avenue: from Furse Feld to Marine Drive West,
Kings Parade: throughout its entire length,
Nyewood Lane: from Kings Parade to Marine Drive West,
Marine Drive West: from Silverston Avenue to Nyewood Lane,
The Esplanade: throughout its entire length,
Gloucester Road: (southbound carriageway only) throughout its entire length,
High Street: Southbound carriageway only) from its junction with Gloucester Road to its junction with Upper Bognor Road,
Upper Bognor Road: (westbound carriageway only), from the B2259 to Felpham Road,
Felpham Road: (southbound carriageway only) from Upper Bognor Road to Admiralty Road,
Admiralty Road: throughout its entire length,
Blakes Road: from Admiralty Road to Vicarage Lane,
Vicarage Lane: (southbound carriageway only) from Blakes Road to Limmer Lane,
Limmer Lane: (westbound carriageway only) from Vicarage Lane to Jacken Close.
In addition to the intended closure of the above roads, a contingency route is also being planned in case flood pumping works are ongoing at the time of the event. If needed, this route will also close the whole length of Sea Road, Longbrook and Outram Road.
During the operative period of the Order the One-Way traffic restriction on the northbound carriageway of Silverston Avenue will be suspended.
These road closures are needed to allow the Bognor 10k Run to take place in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 12 May 2024 at 7.00am and remain in force until 3pm. The roads will be closed on a ‘rolling’ basis and will be re-opened as runners pass along the event route. Alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site and access to properties on the affected roads will be maintained. (Chichester: South Pallant)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close South Pallant at the junction with East Pallant and West Pallant.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst licenced scaffolding is in place for property renovation works.
The Order will come into effect on 13 May 2024 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 13 May 2024 and will take 8 weeks to complete.

(Aldingbourne: Hook Lane)
(30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
NOTICE is hereby given that West Sussex County Council proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 30 MPH speed limit throughout the entire length of Hook Lane in Aldingbourne.
Full details of the proposals in this notice can be viewed on the Traffic Regulation Order page of the West Sussex County Council website. The website includes a response form for any comments or objections.
People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the West Sussex County Council Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.
