NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the six parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice from Monday 29th. April until Friday 17th. May 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order are via local diversions except for cul de sacs.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the six parts of road (Installation of telecommunications apparatus).

SCHEDULE

(i) Coke Lane at its Junction with Westgate and Canklow Road.
(ii) Chapel Lane at its junction with Canklow Road.
(iii) Mill Street from its Junction with Canklow Road to its junction with Town Street.
(iv) Town Street from its junction with Mill Street to outside property No. 47 Town Street.
(v) Rother View Road at its junction with Mill Street.
(vi) Robinson Street at its junction with Canklow Road

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF A630 ROTHERHAM GATEWAY AND POPLAR WAY ENTRY SLIP ROAD AND CATCLIFFE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from 10pm on Monday 6th. May until 6am on Tuesday 7th. May and from 10pm on Monday 13th. May until 6am on Tuesday 14th. May 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via A630 West Bawtry Road, A630 Centenary Way, A6178 Sheffield Road, J34 Tinsley roundabout, A631 Shepcote Lane, Europa Link and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (Removal of a vehicle restraint barrier for safety of site personnel).

SCHEDULE

(i) A630 Rotherham Gateway in both directions from its junction with the A630 Rotherham Gateway/M1 J33 roundabout, Canklow to its junction with Poplar Way.
(ii) A630 Poplar Way entry slip road from its junction with Europa Link to its junction with A630 Rotherham Gateway.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF A631 TICKHILL ROAD MALTBY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along A631 Tickhill Road from its junction with Quilter Road to its junction with Stoney Well Lane from Monday 29th. April until Friday 3rd. May 2024 between 7.30pm and 5.30am each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route is via A631 Rotherham Road, A60 Worksop Road, A60 Doncaster Road, A634 Maltby Road and A634 Blyth Road.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway repairs).

THE ROTHERHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (OFF STREET) (PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2011
(AMENDMENT NO. 93) ORDER 2024

Forge Island Development Car Park Rotherham

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the 15th. April 2024 which shall come into effect on the 29th. April 2024. Notice of the proposal to make the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 25th. January 2024. The effect of the order will be to introduce an off street car park regulated by the Council off Market Street and Bridge Street, Rotherham which will serve as a “Free” and “Payable” car park. The proposed days and hours of operation, the maximum period for which vehicles may wait and the scale of charges that will apply are specified in the Schedule to this notice.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in any way, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via a local diversion.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (installation of telecommunications apparatus).

Rotherham Market Temporary car park

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council acting in its capacity as traffic authority for the borough of Rotherham in exercise of its powers under sections 32 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and Schedule 9 to that Act, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers proposes to make the above-mentioned order. It is proposed to introduce an off street car park regulated by the Council off Eastwood Lane, Rotherham which will serve as a ‘permit holders only’ and/or ‘loading only’ car park. The proposed days and hours of operation, the maximum period for which vehicles may wait and the scale of charges that will apply are specified in the Schedule to this notice.

 Copies of the proposed order a map showing the location of the car park and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the order may be inspected during normal office hours at the Council’s Offices at the address shown below.

Objections to the proposed Order and other representations relating to it can be sent to the undersigned (quoting reference NF/72543) at the address shown below and must be received by the undersigned no later than 24th. May 2024. All objections and other representations must be made in writing and must specify the grounds on which they are made.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7)

B6089 PACKMAN ROAD AND VARIOUS ROADS BRAMPTON BIERLOW ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF 7.5TN WEIGHT LIMIT RESTRICTION AND TEMPORARY 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT RESTRICTION)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to:-

1.  Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B6089 Packman Road from the northern kerbline of Quarry Bank Road to its southern junction with Brampton Road for periods of time between Tuesday 7th. May 2024 and Tuesday 30th. September 2025 (the alternative route will be for northbound traffic via B6097 Elsecar Road, and Westfield Road and for southbound traffic via B6273 Pontefract Road, Barnsley Road, B6097 Melton High Street and B6097 Firth Road).

2. Temporarily suspend parts of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction) (Consolidation) Order 2004 and to reduce from 60 miles hour to 30 miles per hour the speed limit for motor vehicles travelling along that part of B6097 Elsecar Road and that part of B6097 Smithy Bridge Lane specified in the schedule to this notice for periods of time between Tuesday 7th. May 2024 and Tuesday 30th. September 2025.

3.  Temporarily suspend the 7.5tn weight limit restriction along Westfield Road from the B6089 Knollbeck Lane/ Bulls Head roundabout to its junction with B6097 Elsecar Road and Manor Road, Knollbeck Avenue, Westpit Hill, Higham Road and Swangate at their junctions with Westfield Road for periods of time between Tuesday 7th. May 2024 and Tuesday 30th. September 2025.

The reason for the prohibition speed limit restrictions and weight limit restrictions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Rebuilding of the highway wall on B6089 Packman Road).

SCHEDULE

(i) B 6097 Elsecar Road from its existing speed limit located outside Westfield Farm House to its junction with Smithy Bridge Lane.

(ii) B6097 Smithy Bridge Lane from its junction with B6097 Elsecar Road to its junction with Smithy Bridge Lane/Lymegate roundabout.
