What is happening?

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

1. (SOUTH OXFORD EXTENSION) (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION NO. 2) ORDER 2024 2. (OXFORD AREA - VARIOUS STREETS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LOADING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO. 10) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that on 22 April 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The orders, which come into force on 29 April amend parking & waiting restrictions within the South Oxford Extension Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in the New Hinksey area, following a review of the workings & effectiveness of the scheme since 2022. New measures as follows:

A. Times of operation: have changed from 8.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday to:

1. 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday (two hours waiting - no return in two hours for non-permit holders) on the following roads: Bertie Place, Canning Crescent, Chatham Road, Fox Crescent, John Towle Close, Lincoln Road, Monmouth Road, Norreys Avenue, Northampton Road, Oswestry Road, Peel Place, Sunningwell Road, Weirs Lane, and Wytham Street; and to

2. 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday (one hour waiting - no return in one hour for non-permit holders) on the following roads: Gordon Street, Green Place, Lake Street, School Place, Stewart Street, Summerfield, Vicarage Lane, and Vicarage Road.

B. Parking restriction amendments see new 'No Waiting at Any Time' (double yellow lines) restrictions introduced on the following roads:

3. Abingdon Road - replacing the existing lengths of single yellow line (Clearway/No Waiting 7.30am to 9.30am & 4pm to 6.30pm Monday to Saturday) on the western side adjacent to a) Nos. 50-62, b) Nos. 112-118, c) No. 182, d) Nos. 192-194, e) Nos. 210-232, and f) Nos. 246-252.

4. Bertie Place - a 7 metre section at the 'turning-head' end of the road at the access to the playground,

5. Canning Crescent - extending the existing restrictions on the western side southwards for an additional 22 metres, adjacent to No. 32 Weirs Lane,

6. Chatham Road - on both sides around its junction with Fox Crescent,

7. Fox Crescent - on both sides around its junction with Chatham Road,

8. Green Place - a 15 metres section at the south-eastern end, adjacent to the rear of Nos. 6 & 8 Norreys Avenue,

9. Lake Street - extending the existing restrictions on the southern side a) north of Gordon Street adjacent to No. 23 by 10 metres, b) adjacent to No. 41 to cover its entire frontage, and for 6 metres on the northern side adjacent to the cycle path access between Nos. 43 & 44.

10. Northampton Road - extending the existing restrictions on the southern side adjacent to Abingdon Road, southwards for an additional 5 metres,

11. Stewart Street - a 9 metre section at the south-western end, adjacent to No. 4,

12. Vicarage Lane - a 9 metre section at the far north-western end, adjacent to Nos. 14 & 15,

13. Vicarage Road - replacing the existing lengths of unrestricted parking on the northern side, adjacent to a) the Public House & No. 5, b) Nos. 11-14, and c) Nos. 19-23

14. Weirs Lane - extending the existing restrictions on the northern side west of Fox Crescent westwards by 8 metres, adjacent to Nos. 41 & 43,

15. Wytham Street - a) a 15 metre section at the north-western end, adjacent to Nos. 1 & 2, b) a 16 metres section at the south-eastern end, adjacent to Nos. 348 & 350 Abingdon Road, and c) a 4 metre section on the southern side adjacent to the access to the playground.

The Oxfordshire County Council (South Oxford Extension) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Order 2022, and the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford Area-Various Streets) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Permitted Parking) Order 2022 are further amended as necessary.

If you wish to question the validity of this Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of this Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to this Order, you may within six weeks from 22 April 2024 apply to the High Court for this purpose. (RAMSDEN PARISH) (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) 2024

NOTICE is given that on 22 April 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order which comes into force on 29 April introduces a 20mph speed limit within Ramsden replacing the 30mph speed limit in its entirety, leading out to the following points:

1. Akeman Street - a point 595 metres southwest of its junction with High Street,

2. High Street - a point 56 metres northwest of its junction with Skippett Lane,

3. Lower End - a point 574 metres southeast of its junction with Wilcote Lane.

The existing 40mph speed limit will remain on the B4022 Witney Road with Officers having

taken the current road environment & traffic usage into account.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Ramsden Parish) (30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2012 is revoked/replaced.

(ASCOTT, MILTON, AND SHIPTON-UNDER-WYCHWOOD PARISHES) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that on 22 April 2024 Oxfordshire County Council made the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order, which comes into force on 29 April introduces a 300 metre length of 40mph speed 'buffer' limit on London Lane, leading north-westwards into Ascott-under-Wychwood, meeting with the 20mph speed limit. This is in place of the existing 60mph National speed limit.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Ascott, Milton, and Shipton-Under-Wychwood Parishes) (30 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2023 is revoked/replaced.

1. (OXFORD CITY) (DESIGNATION AND REGULATION OF PAY AND DISPLAY PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20** 2. (JERICHO) (PARKING PLACES AND CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20**

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the proposal - in accordance with parking policy & to allow for effective enforcement - is to amend 'Pay & Display' parking restrictions on Great Clarendon Street in Oxford as follows: ? Extend the existing 'Pay & Display' parking bay (8.00am - 10.00pm Monday to Saturday all day Sunday) on the northwest side adjacent to the 'Play Area' - for an additional 11 metres south-westwards, towards the junction with Hart Street. The proposed extension replaces an 'Oxford Car Pool Club' bay which is no longer required, and has not been appropriately signed.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford City) (Designation and Regulation of Pay and Display Parking Places) Order 2017, and the City of Oxford (Jericho) (Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2000 will be further amended as necessary. (VARIOUS ROADS - SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.*) ORDER 20*

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order is to introduce permit holders parking on sections of East Street and Wykeham Park in Thame, as follows:

1) Proposed Residents Permit Holder only parking areas - Thame (TH) Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm:

(a) East Street north side between the property boundary of No. 6/7 and the vehicular access to No. 17

(b) Wykeham Park both sides of the whole road from the junction with East Street.

2) Eligible properties:

Residents of properties in the following roads will be able to apply for annual Residents and Visitors' Parking Permits. A local identifier of 'TH' will be shown on permits and on road signage at the entry points to those areas. Properties are eligible to apply (other than those with off-street parking) in:

(a) East Street - north side: from and including No. 4 to No. 17; south side: between and including No. 53 to No. 70;

(b) Wykeham Park - both sides: all properties between and including No. 43 to 54

3) Residents permits:

Will be limited to one per resident with a maximum of two permits per property. A resident may obtain a temporary permit for a replacement vehicle while their permanent vehicle is off the road.

4) Visitors permits:

Will be available for residents at eligible addresses, usually a maximum of 50 days' worth of permits will be issued per year and provided in blocks of 25. A temporary resident will be entitled to 25 visitors permits.

5) Charges:

(a) for residents permits per property will be £100 per annum.

(b) Visitors permits for residents aged 70 or over will be free of charge. For other residents the first block of 25 visitors permits will be free and the second block of 25 permits will be charged at £31.50.

(c) Contractors may apply for a permit to use a parking place at a charge of £31.50 for any period not exceeding a week.

6) Other Matters:

(a) A permit may be withdrawn if found to be granted based on false information, or a permit has not been used in accordance with the provisions of the Order or where it has been abused. This may result in suspension of eligibility for further permits.

(b) Exemptions to the waiting restrictions and the restrictions on the use of parking places will include following exemptions: For disabled badge holders (maximum of three hours where there are no waiting restrictions are in force), Carers Permit holders, for loading and unloading, people boarding or alighting a vehicle, emergency services, universal service providers and vehicles being used in connection with road works and works to the utility services, and official funeral vehicles.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads - South Oxfordshire) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021 will be further amended as necessary, updating Map Tiles EX103 & EX104 in the process. Additionally, the plans and documents will be available to view in person at Thame Library, 3 North Street, Thame, OX9 3BH from 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday, Tuesday & Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday, and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturdays.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the 24 May 2024. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. VARIATION OF CHARGES FOR RESIDENTS' PARKING PERMITS (APRIL 2024)

NOTICE is given by the Oxfordshire County Council (the "Council") pursuant to Section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Section 25 of the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, that charges for residents parking permits in Oxford, Abingdon, and Henley-on-Thames have been varied. Each of the Parking Orders for Oxford City and North Hinksey (Controlled Parking Zones), South Oxfordshire District, Cherwell District Council and The Vale of White Horse District have fees increased in accordance with the below tables.

The revised charges - in line with the approved budgets set at Cabinet in January 2023 - came into effect on 1 April 2024.
