Various Roads, Kirriemuir - Temporary Traffic Restrictions due to Bonfest Music Festival

What is happening?

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 29/04/2024 the Council made The Angus Council (Bonfest Music Festival, Kirriemuir) (Temporary Traffic Restrictions) Order 2024 under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose of maintaining public safety in connection with a music festival. The effect of the Order is to (i) prohibit the waiting of vehicles in Bellies Brae between Forfar Road and Bellies Brae car park between 5.00pm on 3 May 2024 and 5.00pm on 5 May 2024: (ii) prohibit the waiting of vehicles in School Wynd and Bank Street between 5:00pm on Friday 3 May 2024 and Saturday 4 May 2:00pm. (iii) introduce a ‘rolling’ road closure on School Wynd and Bank Street on Saturday 4 May 2024 between 1.15pm and 1.45pm and (iii) reduce the speed limit on A928 Kirriemuir to Glamis Road. (iv) suspend the use of Bellies Brae car park from 2 May 2024 to 5 May 2024.
