What is happening?

Parish of Baltonsborough Temporary Closure of Ham Street

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Ham Street - from 25 metres north-east of the junction with Martin Street, north-eastwards for a total distance of 94 metres.

This Order will enable OCU Group to carry out work to the fibre optic network on behalf of Gigaclear.
The Order becomes effective on 9th May 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 15th May 2024 and last until 17th May 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days. (the road will be opened between the hours of (08:00 - 08:30) and (15: 30 - 16:00) to allow access to school transport)
