PARISH OF ALWINTON PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 57
(TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Alwinton Public Footpath Number 57, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
Parish of Alwinton Public Footpath Number 57
From a point 70 metres north-east of Barrow at the junction with Public Bridleway No 37 in an easterly direction for a distance of 625 metres, crossing the Barrow Burn, via a footbridge, to join Parish of Harbottle Public Footpath No 1, on the south side of the Barrow Burn, 460 metres north-west of Angryhaugh.
The remainder of the footpath leading to access land remains available if accessed from alternative routes.
The Order is to be effective from the 29th April 2024 until the 29th October 2024.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland National Park Authority in the interests of public safety to facilitate works to replace the footbridge over the Barrow Burn.
