What is happening?

WEST NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14

(MILL LANE, GRIMSCOTE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Mill Lane, Grimscote as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Mill Lane, Grimscote from the junction of Litchborough Road to Mano Road.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during replacement of stop taps.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 20th May 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for three days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Litchborough Road and Manor Road.

(RADSTONE ROAD, BRACKLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Radstone Road, Brackley as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Radstone Road, Brackley from Flanders Way roundabout to Poppyfield Way roundabout.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway works.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 20th May 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted until 24th May 2024.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use Northampton Road, A43, Welsh Lane, Syresham Road and Brackley Road.

(PLUMPTON ROAD, WESTON & WEEDON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Plumpton Road, Weston and Weedon as set out below.

LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Plumpton Road, Weston and Weedon from the junction of High Street to Plumpton Village.

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during installation of an air valve.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 7th May 2024 and will continue in force for a period of eighteen months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for three days.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: use High Street, Wappenham Road, Weedon Lois Road, High Street, Abthorpe Road, Wappenham Road and Blakesley Road.
