TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC STATION ROAD LEVEL CROSSING

THE EAST RIDING OF
YORKSHIRE COUNCIL (STATION ROAD LEVEL CROSSING, HOWDEN)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Station Road Level Crossing, Howden during the following times:
• 23.00 hours Saturday 27 April 2024 until 08.30 hours Sunday 28 April 2024
• 23.00 hours Friday 10 May 2024 until 05.00 hours Friday 17 May 2024
• 23.00 hours Saturday 18 May 2024 until 08.30 hours Sunday 19 May 2024
• 23.00 hours Saturday 25 May 2024 until 08.30 hours Sunday 26 May 2024
• 23.00 hours Saturday 1 June 2024 until 08.30 hours Sunday 2 June 2024
• 23.00 hours Saturday 8 June 2024 until 08.30 hours Sunday 9 June 2024
• 23.00 hours Saturday 22 June 2024 until 08.30 hours Sunday 23 June 2024
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed track renewal works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed within eight weeks.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Station Road, Flatgate, Hull Road, Hull Road Roundabout, Thorpe Road, Holme Road, Caville Hall Internal Access Road, Welham New Bridge, Howden Road, Moor End, High Street, Selby Road, Road from Foss Dyke to Major Bridge, Main Road, Highfield Road, Street Lane and Wood Lane.
The road will be closed to all traffic.
The Order will commence 27 April 2024 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
