M25 MOTORWAY - JUNCTIONS 23-25 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Hertfordshire and the London Borough of Enfield under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of: -
a) both carriageways in phases of the M25 between Junction 23 (A1(M) Junction 1/A1) and Junction 25 (A10); and
b) all the slip and link roads leading to and from the lengths of carriageway described in a) above.
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge deck and carriageway repairs, and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 18 months starting on or after Sunday 19th May 2024. The overnight closures would take place between the following hours (maximum periods) -
Mondays - Thursdays 22:00 - 05:30 Fridays 23:00 - 06:00
Saturdays 22:00 - 06:00
Sundays 22:30 - 05:30
The Order would come into force on 17th May 2024 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete, and includes closures on the A13 and A20 not relevant to this area. Please visit National Highways website for closure details. Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using the A1(M), A414, and A10 in either direction. Traffic wishing to join at Junction 24 (A111/A1005) would be diverted anti-clockwise to join the main diversion. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
