What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TICKOW LANE, SHEPSHED TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/05/2024 and have a maximum duration of 6 months. The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 2 weeks. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Severn Trent Water Ltd to undertake works to re-pack a valve and any other various Utility works including Leicestershire County Council to carry out various highway maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Anson Rd, Charnwood Rd, A512 Ashby Rd West & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The effect of which will be to allow for the closure/restrictions of those lengths of roads as specified in Schedules 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 to this Notice. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations. Any member of the public requiring further information should contact Leicestershire Highways on 01163050001. 


It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/05/2024 and have a maximum duration of 18 months. The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 18 months. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Forkers Civil & Ground Engineering Contractors Ltd undertake sewer main installation works and any other Highway works and utility works in connection with the new Bloor Homes development & for Leicestershire County Council to carry out various highway maintenance works. The proposed diversion routes will be signed on site.

Ingleberry Rd, between the junction of A512 Ashby Rd East &the access to the quarry.

TEMPORARY IMPOSITION OF 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION
Ingleberry Rd,from the M1 overbridge to the access of Bodkin Farm.

SCHEDULE 3
TEMPORARY IMPOSITION OF 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION
Ingleberry Road, from the access to Bodkin Farm to the A512 Ashby Rd East.

SCHEDULE 4
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURNS
Ashby Rd Central, no right turns off Ashby Rd Central onto Ingleberry Rd.

SCHEDULE 5
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURNS
Ashby Road East, no left turns of Ashby Rd East onto Ingleberry Rd.
