What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, HAYTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed along Various Roads, Hayton
between the hours of 18.00 until 23.00.
Town Street/Burnby Road, Hayton.
Bielby Lane, Hayton.
Everingham Lane/Blamire Lane, Hayton.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
carriageway resurfacing works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed within four weeks.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the
Order is via: Town Street/Burnby Road, Hayton -
Pocklington Lane, Londesborough Road, Cleaving Garth
Road, Shiptonthorpe Lane, Intake Hill, Towthorpe Lane
and York Road.
Bielby Lane, Hayton - Crudhall Lane, Carr Lane and
York Road.
Everingham Lane/Blamire Lane, Hayton -
Thorpe Le Street Road and York Road.
The road will be open at all times to pedestrians and
for vehicular access to properties directly affected by
the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 29 April 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
