What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) Footpath 6 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Wick Lane to its junction with Footpath 41, Lacock to enable footpath closed in the interest of public safety due to a damaged bridge. Alternative route via Footpath 41, Lacock - Wick Lane and vice versa. This closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 27 April 2024 the closure will be required for 06 months.

B) Footpath 49, Trowbridge; from its junction with Fore Street to its junction with Castle Street to enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection and associated works. Alternative route via Castle Street - Fore Street and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 04 March 2024 will now recommence at 09:00 on 22 April 2024 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. Order A) will have a maximum duration of 06 months, Order B) has a maximum duration of 06 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 16(A) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all vehicular traffic: A) Lacock Road (Part), Corsham; from its junction with B3353 Pound Pill to its junction with C157 Ladbrook Lane. B) Ludmead Road (Part), Corsham; from its junction with B3353 Prospect for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction. And to implement temporary No Waiting at Any Time restrictions on B3353 Pickwick Road (Part), Corsham (eastbound side of carriageway only) at the following locations: C) for a distance of approximately 35m between the junctions of Alexander Terrace and Paul Street (Numbers 43 - 45); D) for a distance of approximately 50m between the junctions of Paul Street and Providence Lane (Numbers 51a - 55); E) for a distance of approximately 15m between the junctions of Providence Lane and Beechfields Road (Numbers 57 - 63). These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and participants whilst enabling the Corsham 10Km and 2Km Running Race to take place. This Order will come into operation on Sunday 21 April 2024 with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the Race, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform. It is anticipated that closure (A) and restrictions (C), (D) and (E) will be required between the hours of 8:45 and 13:00 and closure (B) will be required between the hours of 11:00 and 12:30. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C163 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with C150 for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out repairs to faulty highway drainage system and associated works. Alternative route via C163 (unaffected length) - C159 - C157 - C150 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 for 5 days. B) Low Road (Part), Cheverell Parva; from its junction with B3098 to outside its property known as Fir Tree Cottage to enable Openreach to carry out restore service and associated works. This Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 for 5 days. C) C230 (Part), Bradford on Avon and Winsley; from its junction with Belcombe to Avoncliffe for a distance of approximately 1.4km in a north westerly direction to enable Gigaclear to carry out installation of ducting to provide fibre to properties and associated works. Alternative route via C230 (unaffected length) - Belcombe Road - Newtown - Masons Lane - Bath Road - Winsley Road - Bradford Road - Turleigh Hill and vice versa. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: D) Westlands Lane (Part), Melksham Without; from its property known as No.42 Westlands Lane for a distance of approximately 185m in a westerly direction to enable Openreach to renew frame and cover and associated works. Alternative route via Westlands Lane (unaffected length) - Beanacre - A350 - A365 - B3353 - Westlands Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. E) St Margarets Hill, Bradford on Avon; from its junction with St Margarets Street for its entire length to enable Gigaclear to carry out installation of ducting to provide fibre to nearby properties and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 22 April 2024 and the closure will be required for 5 days. F) Norrington Lane (Part), Broughton Gifford; for a distance of approximately 50m either side of the entrance to the electric sub station to enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection and associated works. Alternative route via Norrington Lane (unaffected length) - Melksham Lane - Bradford Road - A365 - Norrington Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 24 April 2024 and the closure will be required for 24 hours a day once in place for 3 days. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6004600. G) Bradford Road (Part), Winsley; from its junction with C391 to outside property known as Huntsman Cottage, Winsley to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out excavation work to connect Gigaclear network to Openreach network and associated works. Alternative route via C391 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 13 February 2023 will now recommence on 22 April 2024 and the closure will be required for 5 days. Orders A) to F) will have a maximum duration of 18 months, Order G) has a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to: (a) Temporarily close to all vehicles: Castle Street (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Market Street to its junction with Fore Street. Fore Street (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Wicker Hill. Wicker Hill (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Fore Street to its junction with Hill Street. (b) to temporarily suspend the existing prohibition of left hand turn on Market Street, Trowbridge. (c) to temporarily suspend the existing southbound one-way and introduce a temporary northbound one-way on Manvers Street, Trowbridge; direction of travel from Fore Street to Church Street. (d) to temporarily suspend the existing No Waiting at Any Time restriction and introduce a temporary No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading at Any Time restriction on the following lengths of roads: Castle Street, Trowbridge - west side; from its junction with Market Street for a distance of approximately 84m in a northerly direction; from a point approximately 6m south of its northern boundary with No.3 for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction. Manvers Street, Trowbridge - west side; from its junction with Fore Street for a distance of approximately 78m in a northerly direction. Manvers Street, Trowbridge - east side; from its junction with Fore Street for a distance of approximately 79m in a northerly direction. Church Street, Trowbridge - north side; from its junction with Conigre for a distance of approximately 40m in an easterly direction. Church Street, Trowbridge - south side; from its junction with Manvers Street for a distance of approximately 29m in an easterly direction. Conigre, Trowbridge - north side; from its junction with Church Street for a distance of approximately 22m in a westerly direction. Conigre, Trowbridge - south side; from its junction with Manvers Street for a distance of approximately 22m in a westerly direction. (e) to temporarily suspend Disabled Badge Holders only at all times 9am - 5pm, 2 hours No return within 2 hours and introduce a temporary No Wating at Any Time and No Loading at Any Time restriction on the following lengths of roads: Fore Street, Trowbridge - south side; from its western boundary with No.11 Fore Street to its western boundary with No.9 Fore Street. Fore Street, Trowbridge - north side; from its western boundary with No.63 Fore Street for a distance of approximately 14m in an easterly direction. (f) to temporarily suspend Loading only Mon-Sat 8am -6pm and introduce a temporary No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading at Any Time restriction on: Fore Street, Trowbridge - South side; from a point approximately 4m west of its eastern boundary with No.12, Fore Street to its western boundary with No.11, Fore Street. (g) to temporarily suspend Loading only Mon - Sat 8am - 6pm and introduce a temporary Loading only at all times restriction on: Fore Street, Trowbridge - north side; from its eastern boundary with No.60, Fore Street for a distance of approximately 16m in a westerly direction. (h) to temporarily suspend No stopping except taxis and introduce a temporary No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading at Any Time restriction on: Castle Street, Trowbridge - west side; from a point approximately 6m south of its northern boundary with No.3, Castle Street (Nationwide Building Society) for a distance of approximately 12m in a southerly direction. (i) to temporarily suspend Disabled Badge Holders only at all times 9am - 5pm, 2 hours No return within 2 hours and introduce a temporary Loading only at all times restriction on: Castle Street, Trowbridge - East side; between its northern and southern boundaries with No. 26, Castle Street. These Orders are made to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out public realm improvements and associated works whilst relieving or preventing congestion and allowing access for businesses. The closures and restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs or cones. These Orders will come into operation on 13 May 2024 and the closures and restrictions will be required 24 hours a day until 01 September 2024 It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Orders will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that on 10 April 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is as follows: Order 1 - To introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads in Lacock: C150 Cantax Hill - from its junction with West Street/Church Street for a distance of 50 metres in a northerly direction; C150 West Street, UC 916802 East Street, UC 916805 Church Street, UC 916806 Nethercote Hill C150 West Street, UC 916802 East Street, UC 916805 Church Street, UC 916806 Nethercote Hill - the complete lengths; C155 High Street - from its junction with Melksham Road/West Street to its junction with C155 Hither Way; C155 Melksham Road - from a point 110 metres north of its junction with UC 916804 Hither Way to its junction with West Street/High Street. Order 2 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Lacock) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2021 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2, and to introduce a 30mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads in Lacock: C155 Hither Way- from its junction with UC 916804 Hither Way for a distance of 227 metres in a south easterly direction; UC 916804 Hither Way - from its junction with C155 Hither Way to its junction with C155 Melksham Road. Order 3 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Lacock) (Restricted Roads) Order 2000 and The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Lacock) (Restricted Roads) Order 2000 (Amendment No.1) Order 2001 and re-enact them, in part, in the above Order 3 for administrative purposes only. Order 4 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Lacock) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2021 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 4 for administrative purposes only. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ACT 2004 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (PARISHES OF EAST WILTSHIRE) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2016 (AMENDMENT NO.8) ORDER 2024 (Previously advertised as 2023)

Notice is hereby given that on 10 April 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in West Lavington in the Parishes of East Wiltshire Consolidation Order 2016 by introducing new Map Schedule Nos.
