What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

SUMMERGANGS ROAD
(JAMES RECKITT AVENUE TO HOLDERNESS ROAD)
(20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council
proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted by the
Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8 and
under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act 2004.
The effect of the Order will be to make the section of Summergangs
Road between James Reckitt Avenue and Holderness Road,
including Wheatley Gardens and Addison Gardens, into a 20mph
speed limit zone. New traffic calming measures are to be installed
on this part of Summergangs Road and the purpose of the Order is
to ensure that the speeds of vehicles are consistent with the traffic
calmed street environment.
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the
Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for
inspection during normal office hours at the General Reception Area,
The Kingston upon Hull City Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull,
HU1 2AA.

If you wish to object or make any representations to the proposed
Order, you should write to Legal Services at Kingston upon Hull City
Council, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull. HU1 2AA (ref: JGO/39800-
1492), specifying the grounds on which your objection or
representation is made, by no later than 13th May 2024. Alternatively,

In submitting an objection it should be noted
that the personal data and correspondence
relating to any objection will be placed on file
with the Council in order that they can contact
you directly to address the issues raised. If any
