Yarrow Valley Way - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

(B5251 COPPULL ROAD, B5252 LOWER BURGH WAY, B5252 YARROW VALLEY WAY, CHORLEY, CHORLEY BORUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over the following lengths of highway in the borough of Chorley;
i. B5251 Coppull Road, Chorley from its junction with B5252Lower Burgh Way for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction.
ii. B5251 Coppull Road, Chorley from its junction with Lower Burgh Way for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
iii. B5252 Lower Burgh Way, Chorley from its junction with B5251 Coppull Road to its merging with B5252Myles Standish Way
iv. B5252 Yarrow Valley Way from its junction with B5251 Coppull Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative nightly from 2000 hours to 0500 hours from Sunday 28th April 2024 to Friday 3rd May 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access to be maintained wherever and whenever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:

B5251 Coppull Road – B5251 Moor Road – B5251 Pall Mall – B5251 George Street - A6 Lyons Lane South – A6 Bolton Road – B5252 Myles Standish Way.

B5252 Yarrow Valley Way

5. An alternative route for HGV traffic affected by the closure is via:

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow resurfacing works to be carried out by Lancashire County Council
