DERBY CITY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS
Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the
roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON
RAYNESWAY, DERBY
WHEN: 23 April 2024 to 24 April 2024 (20:00 to 06:00 only)
WHERE: Raynesway, from the Derby Road/Acorn Way/Raynesway
Roundabout to A5111 Raynesway REASON: Horticultural
maintenance ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Derby Road – Spondon
Roundabout – A52 Eastbound – Victoria Avenue – A52 Westbound
– Raynesway Southbound. And Raynesway Northbound – A52
Westbound – Circumnavigate The Pentagon – A52 Eastbound –
Derby Road
Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of
the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE ORDER ON
OLD LANE TOLL BRIDGE DARLEY ABBEY, DERBY
WHEN: 6 May 2024 to 10 May 2024 WHERE: Old Lane Toll Bridge,
Darley Abbey REASON: Works to realign temporary footbridge
(Walter’s Walkway) access ramp. ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Old Lane –
Darley Street – Darley Park Footpath (southbound) – Handyside
Bridge – Darley Fields (Parker’s Piece) Footpath (northbound) – Folly
Road – Haslams Lane. [Reverse for opposite direction]
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the
affected length of road. The road will be re-opened as soon as the
work is finished. Anyone needing further information should ring

(Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting)
(Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.137) Order 2023
Derby City Council has made this Traffic Regulation Order on 18th
April 2024, which come into effect on 6th February 2023 under
Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule
9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic
Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers in that behalf.
The purpose of the Order will be to introduce:
Disabled Badge Holders Only (4 Hours No Return 1 Hour) to replace
existing Disabled Badge Holders Only (3 Hours No Return 1 Hour)
• Gower Street, both existing disabled badge holders only bays for
their entire length.
• Babington Lane, existing disabled badge holders only parking bay
outside 11-19 Babington Lane.
Copies of the Order and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of
Reasons for making the Order, may be inspected online at
https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order on the grounds
that it is outside the powers of the Acts or because it does not comply
with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six
weeks of the date of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
