Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.5) 2024
On 17 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Schedule
1. that length of B2039 Ockham Road South, East Horsley which extends from its junction with Park Corner Drive to its junction with Old Rectory Lane. Alternative Route – B2039 Ockham Road South, A246 Epsom Road, A247 The Street, A247 Clandon Road, B2215 Portsmouth Road, B2039 Ockham Road North (15’ height restriction) and B2039 Ockham Road South; 2. (a) the entire length of B3000 Puttenham Hill, Puttenham; and (b) that length of C20 The Street, Puttenham which extends from its junction with Puttenham Hill to westwards for a distance of 60m. Alternative Route (eastbound) – A31 Hogs Back/ Farnham Road, A322 Bridge Street/Onslow Street, A3100 Park Street, A3100 Portsmouth Road, B3000 New Pond Road/The Street and B3000 Puttenham Heath Road; Alternative Route (westbound) – B3000 Hook Lane/ Puttenham Heath Road, B3000 The Street/New Pond Lane, A3100 Old Portsmouth Road/Park Street and A31 Farnham Road/Hogs Back;3. that length of the west to east arm of D616 Longacre, Ash which extends from its junction with Shawfield Road to its junction with the north to south arm of D616 Longacre and the south-western property boundary line of No.7 Rose Cottages. Alternative Route – B3206 Shawfield Road, A323 Aldershot Road, A323 Ash Street, A323 Ash Church Street, D616 Longfield Road and D616 Longacre.

Vicarage Gate (D4017) Guildford Footpath Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from entering or proceed in the entire length of footpath known as Vicarage Gate (D4017) Guildford. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway reconstruction works, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of pedestrian access to premises will be affected. Alternative Route – D4017 Vicarage Gate, D4017 Litchfield Way, D4017 Litchfield Way Footpath and D4018 Curling Vale.

High Street (D5438) Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Street (D5438) Godalming which extends from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Station Road. This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate water works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 7pm and 6am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Station Road – Mint Street – Church Street – High St – Moss Ln – Bridge St – The Burys – Flambard Way. To facilitate this closure, Church Street will be reverted to two-way and the rest of the High Street will also be reverted to two-way (which will suspend the one-way system on these road) between Church Street and Moss Lane.

Beckingham Road (D4002) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Beckingham Road (D4002) Guildford as extends from its junction with (A323) Aldershot Road to its junction with (D4002) Grantley Road. Alternative Route: Grantley Road, Weston Road, Parkhurst Road, and (A323) Aldershot Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new water connection works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 May 2024. 
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

High Loxley Road (D177) Loxhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of High Loxley Road (D177) Loxhill which extends from a point 100m north of its junction with the northern arm of the access to “High Loxley Farm” to a point 300m south-east of its junction with the eastern arm of the access to “High Loxley Farm”; and (b) suspend “Surrey County Council High Loxley Road (D177) Loxhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate water connection and/or utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times by way of road plates. There is no alternative route possible for this road closure.

Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works and to allow footway pre-patching and slurry works and/or major maintenance on the length of road specified in part 1 to the Schedule to this Notice, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. To facilitate the works on part 1 of the Schedule, the weight limit on C14 Clay Lane shall be suspended.

1. that length of A247 The Street, West Clandon which extends from its junction with A246 Epsom Road to its junction with Station Approach. Alternative Route – A247 Clandon Road, A247 Send Barn Lane, A247 Send Road, A247 Broadmead Road, A247 High Street, A247 Kingfield Road, A247 Wych Hill Lane, A320 Egley Road, A320 Guildford Road, A320 Woking Road, C14 Clay Lane, A3100 Clay Lane, A3100 London Road, A25 Boxgrove Road and A25 Epsom Road; 2. that length of B2039 Ockham Road North, Ockham which extends from its junction with B2039 Portsmouth Road to its junction with B2039 Ockham Road South. Alternative Route – B2039 Portsmouth Road, B2215 Portsmouth Road, B2215 High Street, B2215 Portsmouth Road, A247 Send Barns Lane, A247 Clandon Road, A247 The Street, A246 Epsom Road, B2039 Ockham Road South; 3. that length of C43 Beech Avenue, Effingham which extends from its junction with A246 Guildford Road to its junction with C43 Critten Lane. Alternative Route – C43 Critten Lane, C44 Ranmore Common Road, C44 Ranmore Road, C44 Ashcombe Road, A2003 Ashcombe Road, A24 London Road, A24 Mickleham By-Pass, A24 London Road, A24 Dorking Road, A246 Young Street and A246 Guildford Road; 4. that length of D4007 Upper Edgeborough Road, Guildford which extends from its junction with A246 Epsom Road to its junction with C37 Warren Road. Alternative Route – A246 Epsom Road, D4007 Albury Road and C37 Warren Road; 5. that length of D4008 Maori Road, Guildford which extends from its junction with A246 Epsom Road to its junction with D4008 Cranley Road. Alternative Route – A246 Epsom Road, D4008 Aldersey Road, and D4008 Cranley Road.

Burrows Lane (D227) Gomshall Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Burrows Lane (D227) Gomshall that is crossed by the level crossing known as “Burrows Lane Level Crossing” and for a distance of 20 metres on either side; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Burrows Lane (D227) Gomshall Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. 
Alternative Route: Burrows Lane, Hook Lane, Sandy Lane, Shere Heath Road, Park Road, New Road, (A248) Sherbourne, (A25) Shere Road, and Queen Street, or this route in reverse. The Order is required to facilitate signal and telecom maintenance and renewal of rail works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. These works are anticipated to take place over two sperate dates; (1) on 15 May 2024 for a period of 3 nights between the hours of 10pm and 6am and (2) on 17 June 2024 for a period of 5 nights between the hours of 10pm and 6am during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 15 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. No sole access is affected by this closure.

Ockham Road North (B2039) East Horsley and Ockham Road South (B2039) East Horsley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (a) Ockham Road North (B2039) East Horsley which extends from its junction with Woods End (X7338) to its junction with Ockham Road South (B2039); (b) Ockham Road South (B2039) East Horsley which extends from its junction with Ockham Road North (B2039) to its junction with Kingston Avenue (D615). The effect of this order will be suspend the “Ockham Road North (B2039) East Horsley and Ockham Road South (B2039) East Horsley” “Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” from (a) “Woods End (X7338)” to its junction with “Ockham Road South (B2039)”; (b) “Ockham Road North (B2039)” to its junction with “Kingston Avenue (D615)”. Alternative Route – Ockham Road North (B2039), Portsmouth Road (B2215), Clandon Road (A247), The Street (A247) And Epsom Road (A246) or the same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 
Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

D3872 South Road, Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3872 South Road, Weybridge that extends from the north-western property boundary of “Misterton”, to the south-western property boundary of “South Lodge”. This Traffic Order is required to enable UK Power Networks to carry out utility works, to include installation of underground cabling and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 5pm, within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 13 May 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times by means of road plates. Vehicular access to affected residences and businesses will be maintained outside of working hours; under Section 3 of “the Act”, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
