What is happening?
Fowlmere Road, Heydon
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-625
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fowlmere
Road, Heydon as lies between Ash Cottage and Lower
North End.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Chishill Road –
Heydon Road, Great Chishill – New Road – B1368 –
A505 – Heydon Road, Fowlmere and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical
connection and associated works which are being
carried out on or near this highway and it will come into
operation on 28 May 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 27 November 2024
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these
works will be carried out between 28 May and 7 June
2024.
Elm Way, Papworth Everard
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-630
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Elm Way,
Papworth Everard as lies between Vinter Close and
Athlone Close.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Varrier Jones
Drive – Ermine Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical
connection and associated works which are being
carried out on or near this highway and it will come into
operation on 20 May 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 19 November 2025
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these
works will be carried out between 20 May and 25 May
2025.
Meadow Road, Willingham
(TEMPORARY 40MPH AND 30MPH SPEED LIMIT)
ORDER 2024-632
Is to impose a 40mph and 30mph speed limit along
Meadow Road, Willingham as lies between Rockmill End
and The Causeway.
The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when
signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the
whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road
whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate
carriageway maintenance, new kerbs and associated
works which are being carried out on or near this
highway and it will come into operation on 6 May 2024
and continue until these works have finished or on the
5 November 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between
6 May and 2 August 2024.
Fen Ditton Bridleway 17, Fen Ditton
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-638
Is to stop any vehicle, cyclist, pedestrian and equestrian
from proceeding along Fen Ditton Bridleway 17, Fen
Ditton as lies between Greenhouse Farm and Orchard
House.
The alternative route for vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians
and equestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate
development and associated works which are being
carried out on or near this highway and it will come into
operation on 29 April 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 28 October 2024
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that
these works will be carried out between 29 April
and 28 October 2024.
Gwydir Street, Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-639
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Gwydir
Street, Cambridge as lies between number 180 and
Mill Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Norfolk Street –
St Matthews Street – A603 – Mill Road or via Hooper
Street – Kingston Street – Mill Road.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate duct
installation and associated works which are being
carried out on or near this highway and it will come
into operation on 27 May 2024 and continue until
these works have finished or on the 26 November 2025
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these
works will be carried out between 27 May and
2 June 2024.
Wilbraham Road, Station Road and Church Lane, Fulbourn
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-641
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wilbraham
Road, Station Road and Church Lane, Fulbourn as lies
between Queens Lodge and High Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Wilbraham Road,
Great Wilbraham – Station Road – Frog End – high
Street (C232) – Church Street – The Lanes – Great
Wilbraham Road – Great Wilbraham Road, Little
Wilbraham – Rectory Farm Road – Pit Road – Little
Wilbraham Road – Little Wilbraham Road, Stow Cum
Quy – A1303 – Airport Way, Fen Ditton – Airport Way,
Teversham – Cherry Hinton Road (C233) – Gazelle Way
– Yarrow Road, Fulbourn – Cambridge Road – School
Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main
replacement and associated works which are being
carried out on or near this highway and it will come into
operation on 13 May 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 12 November 2025
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these
works will be carried out between 13 May and
19 July 2024.
Bar Hill Intersection from B1050 to Bar Hill Roundabout
(B1050), Bar Hill and Bar Hill Intersection
On and Off Slips to A14 (B1050), Longstanton
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-645
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Bar Hill
Intersection from B1050 to Bar Hill Roundabout
(B1050), Bar Hill and Bar Hill Intersection On and Off
Slips to A14 (B1050), Longstanton as lies between
Balancing Pond and Local Access Road, Longstanton;
Bar Hill Intersection Link to Local Access Road, Bar Hill
and Balancing Pond respectively.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A14 – Local
Access Road Boxworth, Boxworth – A14 or via A14 –
M11 – A1307 – A14.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway
resurfacing, bridge joint replacement and associated
works which are being carried out on or near this highway
and it will come into operation on 10 May 2024 and
continue until these works have finished or on the
9 November 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between
20:30hrs and 06:00hrs 10 May to 13 May 2024;
23:30hrs and 06:00hrs 17 May and 20 May 2024.
Fitzwilliam Road, Cambridge
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-647
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fitzwilliam
Road, Cambridge as lies between number 9 and
Clarendon Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Shaftesbury
Avenue – Brooklands Avenue – Clarendon Road and
vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer
connection and associated works which are being
carried out on or near this highway and it will come
into operation on 31 May 2024 and continue until
these works have finished or on the 30 November 2025
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these
works will be carried out between 31 May and
7 June 2024.

AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 VARIOUS
ROADS, SOUTH DIVISION (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-650
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various
roads as set out in Schedule 1 below.
Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress
from premises or land
adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.
The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate
carriageway improvement, resurfacing and associated
works.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 28 April
2024 and will continue until these works have finished
or on the 27 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at
various times during the dates specified in the
Schedule.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 VARIOUS
ROADS, SOUTH DIVISION (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-611
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various
roads as set out in Schedule 1 below.
Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress
from premises or land
adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1.
The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate
footway slurry sealing and associated works.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 May
2024 and will continue until these works have finished
or on the 31 October 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at
various times during the dates specified in the
Schedule.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by
these orders.
The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully
engaged in connection with any works for which these
are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and
Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being
used by Special Forces during the execution of their
duties or to any person acting with the permission or
upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
