Temporary Road Closures

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leeds City Council, as traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District, has made the Leeds City Council (Tadcaster 10K Running Race) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2024 under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as inserted by Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994 to facilitate the holding of the Tadcaster 10k Running Race (‘the Event’). The effect of the Order is that no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed on the lengths of road specified in the Schedule below whilst the road closures are in place, PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the Event. The Order will come into effect on Tuesday 23 April 2024 and will continue in force between 19:00 hours and 20:30 hours. The roads will only be closed for as long as necessary to ensure the safety of runners and the public. Where necessary local diversions will be in operation, signed as appropriate. The Order will not at any time prevent access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which the Order relates, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, any such road.
