(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpaths
indicated below:-
FP0814044 Rufford and part of FP0818136 Burscough, West Lancashire from Meadow Lane at Point A (SD 4675 – 1565) in a
generally southern direction for approximately 1800 metres to Point B (SD 4637 – 1378).
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the
footpaths.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the
footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and
only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times. Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to
those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 26th April, 2024, for a period of 6
months or until the works are completed within this period.
