Grafton Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Replacement Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:

C1227, Grafton Lane, Grafton, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1227, Grafton Lane, Grafton. Grid Ref: 349623/236762.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A49, onto the C1227 Grafton Lane and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to pole replacement works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th of May 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
