What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(Fordham Road and Hall Barn Road, Isleham)
(30mph and 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
The effect of this Order will be to introduce a 30mph speed limit on Fordham Road from a point 77 metres southwest of its junction with Acer Drive in a south westerly direction for a distance of 54m and to introduce a 40mph speed limit on Fordham Road from a point 131m southwest of its junction with Acer Drive in a south westerly direction for a distance of 180m and on Hall Barn Road from its junction with Fordham Road in a north westerly direction for a distance of 429m.
Notice of Intention to Install Traffic Calming Feature in Fordham Road, Isleham
Cambridgeshire County Council proposes to install a pinch-point with priority working (drivers travelling north required to give way to opposing traffic) located at a point approximately 127m south of Acer Drive.
This will consist of kerb build-outs on both sides of the road, leaving a 3.5m carriageway width. This traffic calming feature is intended to reduce vehicle speeds and improve safety for all road users.
