Wiltshire, Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Proposed Weight Restriction Order.
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Bulbridge Road (Part), Wilton; from its junction with South Street to its junction with St Michaels Close to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out footway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via Bulbridge Road (unaffected length) - South Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 until 20 May 2024. B) Berry Wood Lane (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its junction with C62 to its property known as Oak Cottage to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out new connection and associated works. Alternative route via Berry Wood Lane (unaffected length) - Junction with Berry Wood Lane Donhead St Andrew West to Britmore Lane Gutch Common - C62 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024 and the closure will be required for 24 hours a day for 3 days. C) C63 (Part), Bishopstone and Wilton; from its junction with C12 to its junction with Home Farm Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out verge overrun and associated works. Alternative route via C63 (unaffected length) - A30 - A36 - A3094 - C320 - C12 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 13 May 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 for 5 days. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 01225 712517. Orders A) to C) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
Park Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with College Street for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction. And to temporarily suspend the existing One Way Order on Park Street, Salisbury to facilitate a diversion for traffic to enable Wessex Water to carry out diversion of misconnection of water equipment and associated works. Alternative route via Park Street (unaffected length) - Estcourt Road - College Street and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 22 April 2024 and the closure will be required until 03 May 2024. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (B3089, EAST KNOYLE)
(WEIGHT RESTRICTION) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that on 10 April 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to revoke The County of Wiltshire (B.3089, East Knoyle) (Weight Restriction) Order 1984 and re-enact it in the above Order and to include the exemption of service for Winter Maintenance purposes.
A copy of the Orders can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 22 April 2024.
