What is happening?

Temporary Closure of B3146, Glanvilles Wootton & Buckland Newton
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 26 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 3 May 2024.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The effect of this notice is as follows:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on B3146, Glanvilles Wootton & Buckland Newton from the junction with Kennels Lane to the junction with B3143 Factory Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2120 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.
[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along VB3146, Glanvilles Wootton & Buckland Newton from the junction with Kennels Lane to the junction with B3143 Factory Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2120 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

It will come into operation on 29 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 29 April 2024 - 10 May 2024.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway surfacing works.
The effect of this Order is as follows:
[i] To impose a temporary road closure on; Oakley Lane, Farnham and Dean Lane, Sixpenny Handley as indicated by signs on site.
[ii] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Oakley Lane, Farnham and Dean Lane, Sixpenny Handley.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. Please note that the dates are a window of opportunity, and the road may not be closed for the whole duration stated above and the works are weather dependant.

It will come into operation on 29 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 4 June 2024 - 17 June 2024.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway surfacing works.

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3143 Buckland Newton between The Cross and Factory Lane (in both directions), a distance of approximately 590 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14th May 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24th May 2024.
This Order will enable Stabilised Pavements Ltd to undertake plaining, GPRS works and lowering/raising iron works and regen.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using B3143, B3150, A35, A37, A352, A3030 and vice versa.

All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3143 Factory Lane, Duntish between B3146 and Woolfords Water (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1040 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 14 May 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 24 May 2024.

The effect of the Order is as follows:
[1] To impose a temporary road closure on A352, CERNE ABBAS, between its junction with Duck Street and the entrance to Green Valley Yurts, a distance of approximately 4970 metres.
[2] To impose a parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent parking on the highway along A352, CERNE ABBAS, between its junction with Duck Street and the entrance to Green Valley Yurts, a distance of approximately 4970 metres.
[3] To impose a clearway as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting on the highway along A352, CERNE ABBAS, between its junction with Duck Street and the entrance to Green Valley Yurts, a distance of approximately 4970 metres.

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along TOLLERFORD LANE, HIGHER FROME VAUCHURCH between its junctions with A356 and a point approximately 195 metres south. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation between 0930 and 1530 on 19 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 19 April 2024.
This Order will enable Multevo Ltd, safe access to carry out carriageway maintenance to include kerbing, signposts and iron works.
An alternative route will be signed using; Greenford Lane - A35 - Muckleford Road - A356.

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WATERY LANE, UPWEY, WEYMOUTH from its junction with the access to Manor Farm for a distance of approximately 60 metres in a northerly direction. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 24 April 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 17 May 2024.
This Order will enable RR Limited, safe access to carry out maintenance works to the historic railway bridge.
An alternative route will be signed using: Watery Lane - Stottingway Street -Dorchester Road - Mill Street.
