(CROFTON NO. 1 FOOTPATH, CROFTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 92) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to carry out detailed bridge examination to be carried out on or near Crofton No.1 Footpath, Crofton for approximately 20 metres either side of the bridge, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, has made an Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath. Alternative route for pedestrians: No Diversion.
The order comes into operation on 20th April 2024 until 21st April 2024. There will be multiple 15 to 20 minute closures during this time and the footpath will be accessible outside these times.
(THORNES LANE, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 93) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for bridge safety inspection to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Thornes Lane, Wakefield at the rail bridge near Field Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Thornes Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Thornes Lane, Ings Road, Denby Dale Road & vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 23rd April 2024 at 23.00 hours to 24th April 2024 at 06.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 95) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for installation of fibre internet ducting services to be carried out as follows:–
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Tithe Barn Street, Horbury from the junction of Westfield Road to the junction of Bank Street. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Tithe Barn Street. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Tithe Barn Street, Bank Street, High Street & vice versa.
Manor Road, Medlock Road, Westfield Road & vice versa. Access maintained for pedestrians at all times and vehicular access for residents where possible.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 22nd April 2024 to 24th April 2024 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours daily, open at all other times, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 100) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace 5 manhole covers & frames to be carried out as follows:–
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Thornes Lane, Wakefield from outside Boiler Central to opposite the play area. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Thornes Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Thornes Lane, Denby Dale Road, Ings Road, Kirkgate, Doncaster Road, Bridge Street, Kirkgate & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th May 2024 between 19.00 hours to 23.30 hours, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 101) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to excavate and install ducting to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Haw Park Lane, Wintersett for approximately 700 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Haw Park Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion. Access provided where possible.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th May 2024 to 8th May 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 102) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to lay new services to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Garden Street, Altofts for approximately 6 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Garden Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Church Lane, Queen Street, High Street, Cheapside, Garden Street & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th May 2024 to 10th May 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(KETTLETHORPE ROAD, WAKEFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 103) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to lay new gas main to be carried out as follows:ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Kettlethorpe Road, Wakefield outside number 97. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Kettlethorpe Road. ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Kettlethorpe Road, Langsett Road, Hoyland Road, Deffer Road, Kettlethorpe Road & vice versa.
Residents access maintained where possible.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 7th May 2024 to 10th May 2024, or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(BRIDLEWAY NO. 20, CRIGGLESTONE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 104) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to install new washout hydrant to water main to be carried out on or near Bridleway No.20, Crigglestone near number 47 for approximately 15 metres, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, intend not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of public bridleway.
Alternative route for pedestrians: Hollingthorpe Lane (Bridleway 20, Crigglestone), Stoney Lane, Painthorpe Lane, Daw Lane, Hollingthorpe Lane (Bridleway 20, Crigglestone) & vice versa. Pedestrian access will be maintained, farm access will be maintained where possible.
The order comes into operation on 7th May 2024 until 9th May 2024.
(BRIDLEWAY NO. 29, OSSETT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 105) 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of extensive flooding causing a risk to public safety and to allow land to dry out to allow investigation works to be completed by National Highways and remedial works following investigation works to be carried out on or near Bridleway No.29, Ossett from Baptist Lane to the junction with PROW Footpath 46, Wakefield, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, has made an Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of public bridleway.
Alternative route for pedestrians: Baptist Lane, Teall Street, Roundwood Road, Footpath 27, Ossett, Footpath 28, Ossett, Footpath 46, Wakefield & vice versa.
The order comes into operation on 24th April 2024 until 30th September 2024.
