Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Various Roads – Retread scheme. Ref: 25-008

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the roads detailed in the schedule below.

Old Knarr Fen Drove as lies between Wisbech Road and Dairy Drove Wisbech Road, A47, Dairy Drove and vice versa Road

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 22/04/2024 and will continue until the retread resurfacing works have been completed or until the 21/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 22/04/2024 and 20/05/2024. For further information please contact Milestone on 07354 901835. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Southgate Way, Orton, Peterborough. Ref: 25-002

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Southgate Way, Orton, as lies between Bakewell Road and Newcombe Way. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Bakewell Rd, Newcombe Way and Southgate Way. The proposed order will come into force on the 19/04/2024 and will continue until the electrical installation works have been completed or until the 18/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 19/04/2024 and the 24/05/2024. Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Rayner Avenue, Stanground, Peterborough. Ref: 25-004

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Rayner Avenue, Stanground, as lies between Allan Avenue and Wright Avenue. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Allan Ave, Wright Ave and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/04/2024 and will continue until the sluice valve repair works have been completed or until the 28/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 29/04/2024 and the 01/05/2024. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Helpston Road, Ailsworth, Peterborough. Ref: 25-005

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Helpston Road, Ailsworth, as lies between Main Street and Holme Close. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Main St, Helpston Rd and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/04/2024 and will continue until the gas pipe installation works have been completed or until the 28/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 29/04/2024 and the 03/05/2024. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Bainiton Green Road, Ashton, Peterborough. Ref: 25-006

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Bainiton Green Road, Ashton, as lies between Helpston Road and High Field Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Helpston Rd, Ufford Rd, Bainton Green Rd and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 29/04/2024 and will continue until the new water mains installation works have been completed or until the 28/04/2025, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 29/04/2024 and the 03/05/2024. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2024 – Longthorpe Cyclepaths Ref: 25-017

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycleway known as Longthorpe Cyclepaths to the rear of Kirkton Gate. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycleway. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this order is: Kirkton Gate. The proposed Order will come into operation on 29/04/2024 and will continue until the drainage works have been completed or until the 29/10/2024, whichever is the earlier.
