What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Mcbean Steps,Scarborough, Order 2024 No 131

We intend to make this Order to prohibit pedestrians from using McBean Steps, footway from Marine Parade to Foreshore Road, due to McBean Steps being closed from 4:30 am to 9:00 am twice a week from 06/05/24 to 31/08/24 for cleansing works. Whilst for the installation of the netting will be closed from 01/09/24 to the 31/10/24. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 06/05/24 until 31/10/24 inclusive, however the maximum duration of this Order will be until 04/11/25. The closure period will only apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on site where appropriate.
