B6347 SHIPLEY TO SOUTH CHARLTON, SOUTH CHARLTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6347 Shipley to South Charlton from it’s point outside of Charlton House heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 138 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 24th April 2024 until the 10th May 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 24th April 2024 until the 2nd May 2024 however it will be closed at all times during this period. The order will remain in place until 10th May 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Ditchburn Road, the B6347, the B6341, the Peth, Bailiffgate, Canongate, the B6346 and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Clancy on behalf of Northern Powergrid for service replacement. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of the Order.
