(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in Berwick-upon-Tweed in the County of Northumberland:
U107 Palace Street from its junction with Sandgate heading in a south-easterly direction for a length of 111 metres.
U107 Palace Gardens from its junction with Palace Street heading in a easterly direction for a length of 73 metres.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd April 2024 until the 22nd October 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd April 2024 until the 26th April 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd October 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the Sandgate, Hide Hill, Silver Street, Palace Street East and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out drainage investigations. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
