B6341 CLAYPORT STREET ALNWICK
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6341 Clayport Street Alnwick from its junction with Lisburn Terrace to 8 Clayport Street for a length of 295 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 8th May 2024 until the 8th November 2024.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th May 2024 until the 17th May 2024 between the hours of 09:30 until 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 8th November 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic when the section of the B6341 between Lisburn Terrace and Tower Lane is closed will be via the C421, B6343, C422 and vice versa.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic when the section of the B6341 between Tower Lane and 8 Clayport Street is closed will be via the C422, B6343, B1340, U3007, B6341, C423 and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for re-surfacing of the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
