What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(LAMBLEY ROAD, LOWDHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (N24-099)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Lowdham in the District of Newark and Sherwood. The effects of the Order will be: 1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road: a. Lambley Road – from its junction with Rockleys View to its junction with Park Lane.

2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

3. The restrictions  specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 hours on Monday 22nd April 2024 Until 16:00 hours on Friday 28th June 2024 AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Epperstone Bypass - Lowdham Lane - Main St - Bank Hill - Nottingham Rd - Mapperley Plains - Spring Lane - Park Lane - Lambley Rd and vice versa.

The Order will come into force on Monday 22nd April 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
