What is happening?

(Temporary Closing Of Handside Lane, Welwyn Garden City) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Handside Lane, Welwyn Garden City from its junction with Springfields north eastwards for a distance of approximately 42m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Handside Lane, Lemsford Lane, B195 Valley Road, Applecroft Road and Handside Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Robbery Bottom Lane, Oaklands) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Robbery Bottom Lane, Oaklands from its junction with Lower Mardley Hill north eastwards to its junction with Larch Lane, a distance of approximately 135m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Lower Mardley Hill, B197 (Mardley Hill/London Road), Mardleybury Road, White Horse Lane and Robbery Bottom Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 2 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Booths Close, Hatfield) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Booths Close, Hatfield from its junction with Holloways Lane north eastwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Borough Way, Potters Bar) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Borough Way, Potters Bar from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.20 Borough Way north westwards for a distance of approximately 15m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Borough Way, Auckland Road, Suffolk Road and Borough Way.
The Order is needed because sewer repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Hazel Grove, Hatfield) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hazel
Grove, Hatfield from its junction with Newstead south eastwards to its junction with Blackthorne Close, a distance of approximately 56m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Hazel Grove, Bishops Rise and Hazel Grove.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 18 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Bull Stag Green, Hatfield) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bull Stag Green, Hatfield from a point 68m north west of its junction with Hatfield Public Footpath No.070 north westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 52m ("the Road).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

A copy of the proposed Orders may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford I between the hours of 9am and 5pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
