What is happening?

VARIOUS ROADS & FOOTPATHS, MELTON MOWBRAY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC INCLUDING PEDESTRIANS, EQUESTRIANS & NON-MOTORISED TRAFFIC ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. It is expected that the Order will come into force on 27/04/2024 and have a maximum duration of 20 weeks. The order and works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and will last for up to 20 weeks. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake construction works for the Melton Mowbray Distributor Road, Statutory Utility Companies to undertake associated service diversions & for LCC to undertake any maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be signed on site.

Footpath E17 from Dickens Dr/Darcey Gdns to the unnamed road from the A606 Nottingham Rd to Holwell Ln. The unnamed road west of Holwell Ln. Footpath E18 from Melton Country Park to South St, Scalford.
Footpath E25 from Melton Spinney Rd to the A607 Waltham Rd, Thorpe Arnold & for a small section north from existing Footpath E25 towards a private driveway. Access road from Melton Spinney Road to Tumbledown Farm. Footpath F4 from Footpath E25 to Tumbledown Farm. Footpath F2 from Woodfold Ln to the A607 Waltham Rd. Footpath F3 from the A607 Waltham Rd to Footpath F2. Footpath E1 from Grange Dr, Melton Mowbray to Cross Ln, Burton Lazars. Footpath E5 from the A606 Burton Rd to restricted byway D106.
