Various Roads in Hayton - Temporary Traffic Prohibition
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
VARIOUS ROADS, HAYTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the
following: Town Street/Burnby Road, Hayton Bielby
Lane, Hayton, Everingham Lane/Blamire Lane, Hayton.
Commencing Monday 29 April 2024 until Friday
24 May 2024 (working hours 18.00 hours until 23.00
hours) The road closures are necessary to enable the
carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out in a
manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the
public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within
four weeks. The alternative route for traffic affected by
the road closure on Town Street/Burnby Road, Hayton
will be via: Pocklington Lane, Londesborough Road,
Cleaving Garth Road, Shiptonthorpe Lane, Intake Hill,
Towthorpe Lane, York Road. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the road closure on Bielby Lane,
Hayton will be via: Crudhall Lane, Carr Lane, York Road.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure on Everingham Lane/Blamire Lane, Hayton will
be via: Thorpe Le Street Road, York Road.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents
and pedestrians.
