North Street/ Red Lion Street/Paternoster - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· North Street closed its entire length. · Red Lion Street closed its entire length. · Paternoster Row closed its entire length. · Suspension of one way on Red Lion Street and Paternoster Row. · Parking bays suspended on Red Lion Street and Paternoster Row to enable adequate CW width for 2-way traffic flow for access/egress to frontages.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the closure will operate from 00:01 on 26 April 2024 until 23:59 on 26 April 2024. The Order is required for safety reasons due to a High-Risk Event at The Halls.
