What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF POTTEN END HILL, GREAT GADDESDEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Potten End Hill, Great Gaddesden from a point in line with the eastern boundary of ‘Little Oaks’ south westwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Potten End Hill, B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Nettleden Road, The Common, Water End Road, The Common and Potten End Hill.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4147 MAYLANDS AVENUE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4147 Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead from a point 82m north west of its junction with the A414 Breakspear Way/A414 St Albans Road roundabout north westwards for a distance of approximately 104m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A4147 Maylands Avenue, A414 St Albans Road, A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, B487 Queensway and A4147 (Swallowdale Lane/Maylands Avenue).
The Order is needed because water main repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 29 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING
RESTRICTIONS IN THE A41 SOUTHBOUND SLIP ROAD
LEADING FROM THE A41 TWO WATERS WAY INTERCHANGE
AND THE SOUTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAY OF A41
(UNNAMED ROAD), HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1.the A41 southbound slip road leading from the A41 Two Waters
Way Interchange, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A41 Two Waters Way Interchange south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with the southbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), a distance of approximately 638m.
An alternative route will be via the A41 Two Waters Way Interchange, A4251 (London Road/Hempstead Road/High Street/Watford Road) and A41 (unnamed road).
2.the southbound carriageway of A41 (unnamed road), Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the A41 southbound slip road leading onto the A41 Two Waters Way Interchange south eastwards to its junction with the A4251 Watford Road/the M25 (junction 20) roundabout, a distance of approximately 5239m.
An alternative route will be via the A41 Two Waters Way Interchange and A4251 (London Road/Hempstead Road/High Street/Watford Road). The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RUCKLERS LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rucklers Lane, Kings Langley from a point in line with the eastern boundary of ‘Paldre’ north westwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Rucklers Lane, A4251 Hempstead Road, Vicarage Lane, Chipperfield Road, Langley Road, Chapel Croft, Tower Hill, Bulstrode Lane and Rucklers Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 May 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KINGS LANGLEY PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 026) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Kings Langley Public Footpath No. 026 from its junction with A4251 High Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Public Footpath”).
There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this public footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Public Footpath.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hamberlins Lane, Northchurch from a point 186m south west of its junction with A4251 Tring Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Hamberlins Lane, Shootersway, Darrs Lane, A4251 (High Street/Tring Road) and Hamberlins Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sacombe Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Galley Hill south eastwards for its entire length (the Road”).
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Rucklers Lane, Kings Langley from its junction with A4251 Hempstead Road south westwards to its junction with Roundwood, a distance of approximately 722m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via A4251 Hempstead Road, Vicarage Road, Chipperfield Road, Langley Road, Chapel Croft, Tower Hill, Bulstrode Lane and Rucklers Lane.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 April 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
