What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Martyrs Lane (D3782) Woodham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 17 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Martyrs Lane (D3782) Woodham. This Order is required to Cadent Gas to facilitate gas works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 month, between 7am and 7am, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Routes: Direction 1, Head straight on Chertsey Road, Take first exit at roundabout and Head straight on Woodham Lane; Direction 2, Head straight on Woodham Lane, Take fifth exit on roundabout and Head straight on Chertsey Road.

Dartmouth Avenue (D3672) Sheerwater Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 17 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Dartmouth Avenue (D3672) Sheerwater and any parts thereof. This Order is required to enable ALS Civil Engineers to facilitate utility works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 month, between 8am and 16.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained via the diversion route. Alternative Route – Devonshire Avenue, Albert Drive, Devonshire Avenue, Dartmouth Avenue and vice versa.

Various Roads in Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

On 17 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate resurfacing of carriageway and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 April 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of roads specified or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

1. that length of A320 Victoria Road, Woking between its junction with Guildford Road and its junction with Station Approach. Alternative Route – A324 Lockfield Drive, C142 Parley Drive, C142 Triggs Lane, C141 Wych Hill, D3693 Wych Hill Lane, A247 Wych Hill Lane, A247 Kingfield Road, A247 High Street, B382 High Street, B382 Old Woking Road, C144 Maybury Hill and D3710 Oriental Road; 2. that length of C141 St Johns Hill Road, Woking between its junction with St Johns Road to its junction with Firbank Drive. Alternative Route – C141 St Johns Hill Road, C141 Hook Heath Avenue, C141 Wych Hill, C142 Triggs Lane, C142 Parley Drive, A324 Lockfield Drive, A324 Amstel Way, C141 Hermitage Road and C141 St Johns Hill Road; 3. that length of C143 Maybury Road, Woking between its junction with Monument Road and its junction with Stanley Road. Alternative Route – C144 Monument Road, A245 Six Crossroads Roundabout, A320 Chertsey Road, C143 Chertsey Road and C143 Stanley Road;

4. that length of A320 Guildford Road, Woking between its junction with Blackness Lane to its roundabout junction with Turnoak Roundabout. Alternative Route 1 – A247 Claremont Avenue (one way) and A247 Wych Hill Lane; Alternative Route 2 – D3693 Wych Hill Lane and D3689 Mount Hermon Road.

D3708 White Rose Lane, Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 17 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3708 White Rose Lane, Woking which extends from the junction with Cleardown to the junction with Barrens Park. This Order is required to enable Hatton Traffic Management on behalf of Thames Water to perform urgent water works. The Order will commence on 21 April 2024 for a period of 3 months and which continues in force “The Surrey County Council D3708 White Rose Lane, Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024”. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – White Rose Lane, Old Woking Road, Park Road, Pembroke Road, Heathside Road and vice versa.
