Norbury Hollow Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (NORBURY HOLLOW ROAD, HAZEL GROVE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffc (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Norbury Hollow Road, from 180m south of the junction with Buxton Road in a southerly direction for approx. 50m whilst traffc signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads. This notice is issued to allow maintenance works to a level crossing to be completed. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 1 night. Alternative routes will be provided via:- Middlewood Road, Correction Brow, Middlewood Road, Park Lane, London Road North, Manchester East Airport Link Road, Buxton New Road, and vice versa. This Order is to come into operation on the 26 April 2024 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
