Bournemouth, Christchurch And Poole Council Various Roads In The Bearwood Area Asphalt Preservation Programme Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below to control traffic.
WHAT: Roads closed to all vehicles - suspension of parking - no parking, no waiting and no loading/unloading at any time will be permitted. Any vehicles left obstructing the works risk receiving a Penalty Charge Notice and being removed. Works are anticipated to take place from 8am until 8pm each day.
WHERE & WHEN:
- The Orchard - between King John Avenue to the end of the cul-de-sac
- Barons Road - from King John Avenue to Wheelers Lane roundabout
- King John Close - from King John Avenue to the end of cul-de-sac
- King John Avenue the 5 cul-de-sacs only between Magna Rd and Knights Rd.
Anticipated date: Tuesday 23 April 2024.
- King John Avenue - the entire length of the main carriageway
- Tourney Road - from Knights Road to the end of cul-de-sac
- Knights Road - from Runnymede Avenue to King John Avenue. Anticipated date: Wednesday 24 April 2024.
- Runnymede Avenue - from King John Avenue to Weldon Avenue, including all cul-de-sacs
- Charter Road - from Runnymede Avenue to end of cul-de-sac. Anticipated date: Thursday 25 April 2024
- Plantagenet Crescent - between its respective junctions with King Richard Drive including all cul-de-sacs
- Lionheart Close - from King Richard Drive to end of cul-de-sacs
- Anjou Close - from Eleanor Drive to end of cul-de-sac
- Eleanor Drive - from King Richard Drive to end of cul-de-sacs
- King Richard Drive - from Knights Road to end of cul-de-sacs. Anticipated date: Friday 26 April 2024
- Wheelers Lane - from King John Avenue to outside No. 21
- Crusader Road - from Knights Road to end of cul-de-sacs
- De Courtenai Close - from Knights Road to end of cul-de-sacs
- Fitzwilliam Close - from Knights Road to end of cul-de-sacs
- Stephen Langton Drive - from Knights Road to end of cul-de-sacs. Anticipated date: Saturday 27 April 2024
WHY: To enable Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council to carry out Asphalt Preservation Treatment Works to the carriageway
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained. Residents will be notified by letter regarding access. Phased road closures on Barons Road and King John Avenue to co-ordinate with school drop off and pick up times when appropriate.
DIVERSION: Via signed routes.

These arrangements may be amended or extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State. The Council regrets any inconvenience caused by this Traffic Order.
