Gubberford Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?

(GUBBERFORD LANE, CABUS, WYRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this Order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of Gubberford Lane, Cabus from its junction with Hazelhead Lane for approximately 350 metres in a south-westerly direction.
2. Nothing in this Order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative daily from 0930 hours until 1530 hours on Tuesday 23rd April 2024 until Wednesday 24th April 2024 or until completion of the works within this period. Access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible.
4. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:
Hazelhead Lane – Delph Lane – Parkhead Lane – Sandholme Lane - Smithy Lane – Lodge Road – Ducketts Lane – Lydiate Lane – Bilsborrow Lane – Lancaster New Road
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow works on the drop wire to be carried out by BT Openreach.
