Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

A262 The Street, Sissinghurst, TN17 2JY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A262 The Street, Sissinghurst, on or after 25th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Rankins Restaurant, between the hours of 21:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A262 Sissinghurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, A229 The Common, A229 Camden Hill, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 High Street, A229 Station Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Linton Road, A229 Loose Road, A274 Sutton Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 North Street, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 North Street, A274 High Street, A274 Station Road, A274 Wheeler Street, A274 Biddenden Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 North Street, A262 High Street, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 The Street and vice versa.

 

Biddenden Road, Frittenden, TN17 2BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Biddenden Road, Frittenden, on or after 24th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Ponds Farm Cottages. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Biddenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Frittenden Road, Commons Road, A262 The Street, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 Sissinghurst Road, Hareplain Road, Buckhurst Lane, Biddenden Road and vice versa.

 

Clayhill Road, Lamberhurst, TN3 8AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Clayhill Road, Lamberhurst, on or after 23rd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Horseshoe Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Clayhill Road, B2169 Furnace Lane, B2169 The Down, B2169 Hastings Road, A21 Scotney Castle Roundabout, A21 Lamberhurst By-pass, A21 Lamberhurst Quarter and vice versa.

 

Dig Dog Lane, Biddenden, TN27 8LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dig Dog Lane, Biddenden, on or after 6th May 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bettenham Manor. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Dig Dog Lane, Hareplain Road, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 The Street, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, A229 The Common, Frittenden Road, Common Road, Frittenden Road, Cranbrook Road, Dig Dog Lane and vice versa.

 

Linden Park Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of Linden Park Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 11 days or until the works have been completed.

Parking will be prohibited in the bus stand opposite Sainsbury’s on Linden Park Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

 

Pearsons Green Road, Paddock Wood, TN12 7DF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pearsons Green Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Old Hay. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pearsons Green Road, Churn Lane, B2162 Maidstone Road, The Heath, Brenchley Road, Horsmonden Road, High Street, Brenchley Road,  B2160 Maidstone Road, B2160 Gedges Hill, B2160 Maidstone Road, Mascalls Court Road, Mile Oak Road, Pearsons Green Road and vice versa.

 

Sandhurst Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandhurst Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 211. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandhurst Park, Sandhurst Road and vice versa.

 

Slip Mill Lane, Hawkhurst, TN18 5BD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Slip Mill Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 10th May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Random Acres, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Slip Mill Lane, Limes Grove, A229 Gills Green, A229 Cranbrook Road, Wellington Road and vice versa.

 

Stanley Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2RJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stanley Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside St. Barnabas’s Church. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stanley Road, Camden Road, Beech Street, Norman Road and vice versa.

 

Wybourne Rise, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Wybourne Rise, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 23rd April 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Forest Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained for residents.
