What is happening?

NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNCIL NORTHALLERTON MAY FAIR 2024 TEMPORARY ARRANGEMENTS

The period of the Northallerton May Fair will be:

Wednesday 1 May - 6.00pm -11.00pm - to set-up fair only

Thursday 2 May - 5.45pm -11.00pm Fair operational

Friday 3 May 6.00pm -11.00pm Fair operational

Saturday 4 May - 10.00am -11.00pm Fair operational

Sunday 5 May - 1.00pm -8.00pm – Fair operational

Monday 6 May - 1.00pm -11.00pm – Fair operational

BUS STOPS

For the period of the May Fair the bus stop outside the Buck Inn will be moved to Zetland Street for northbound services and there will be a temporary bus stop outside the library for southbound services.

CAR PARKING The Applegarth Long and Short stay, Crosby Road Long stay and Hambleton Forum Long and Short stay Pay and Display Car Parks will operate as usual, except for a small number of parking bays in the Long stay area of the Applegarth Car Park which will be used by the Showmen's Guild. Heavy Goods Vehicle Parking will still be available in the Applegarth Long Stay Car Park. The Civic Centre Car Park will also be available for parking.

MARKET

The Northallerton Wednesday market will operate as usual, the Saturday market will be relocated to the area south of Zetland Street.

(MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1976 SECTION 63

NOTICE is given of the suspension of operation of the taxi rank outside the Town Hall Northallerton from 6.00 pm on Wednesday 1 May 2024 until 12 noon on Tuesday 7 May 2024. The taxi rank will be relocated temporarily outside the Old Post Office on High Street, Northallerton and with the Taxi rank on the Zetland Street, Northallerton still available. The Council regrets any inconvenience these temporary arrangements may cause and looks forward to the co-operation of the general public and motorists in particular.
