Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
A2 St Michaels Road, Sittingbourne, ME10 4PP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow street lighting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A2 St Michaels Road, Sittingbourne, from 21.00 hours on 7th May 2024, with estimated completion by 04.00 hours on 8th May 2024, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the traffic lights heading towards Milton Road, to the junction with Church Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A2 St Michaels Road, Crown Quay Lane, Eurolink Way, Mill Way, King Street, St Pauls Street, Staplehurst Road, Pearl Walk, Bobbing Interchange, Sheppey Way, Key Street Roundabout, A249 Key Street Roundabout To Bobbing Interchange, Key Street, London Road, West Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Butlers Hill, Dargate. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Butlers Hill, Dargate, on or after 10th May 2024, with estimated completion by 13th May 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Crockham Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Butlers Hill, Dargate Road, Courtenay Road, Canterbury Road, Staplestreet Road, Church Hill, Butlers Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chequers Hill, Doddington. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chequers Hill, Doddington, on or after 8th May 2024, with estimated completion by 9th May 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 60m from the junction with Down Court Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Chequers Hill, Down Court Road, Bluetown Lane, Manor Road, Torry Hill, Ringlestone Road, The Street, Chequers Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Highsted Valley, Rodmersham, ME9 0PH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Highsted Valley, Rodmersham, on or after 22nd April 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from approximately 67m south from the junction of Cromers Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Highsted Road, Bell Road, Woodstock Road, Tunstall Road, Bredgar Road, Primrose Lane, The Street, Swanton Street, Court Danes Shaw, Ringlestone Road, Syndale Bottom Road, Endings Wood Road, Old Lenham Road, The Street, Chequers Hill, Down Court Road, Sawpit Road, Slough Road, Cheney Hill, Highsted Valley and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Little Glovers, Sittingbourne, ME10 4EBb (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Little Glovers, Sittingbourne, on or after 7th May 2024, with estimated completion by 9th May 2024, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed for the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
This closure is in conjunction with two-way lights on Bell Road.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Main Road, Queenborough, ME11 5BP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Main Road, Queenborough, on or after 22nd April 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 12, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Rushenden Road, B2007 Thomsett Way, A249, B2007 Main Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Seed Road, Doddington. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Seed Road, Doddington, on or after 8th May 2024, with estimated completion by 9th May 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Shulland Court, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Hopes Hill, Old Lenham Road, Lady Margaret Manor Road, Frangbury, Seed Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Yaugher Lane, Hartlip, ME9 7XE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Yaugher Lane, Hartlip, on or after 10th May 2024, with estimated completion by 13th May 2024, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Oak Barn Cottages, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Matts Hill Lane, Warren Lane, Place Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Various Roads, Hernhill. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow signage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on various roads in Hernhill, on or after 22nd April 2024, for up to 5 days, between the hours of 09.00 and 15.00, or until the works have been completed.

Church Hill, Hernhill
Church Hill will be closed in two parts:-
Part One will be closed between Butlers Hill and Kays Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Part Two will be closed between Kays Lane and Staple Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Fostall, Kemsdale Road, Staple Street and Church Hill.
Crockham Lane, Hernhill
Crockham Lane will be closed between Thread Lane and Church Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Hill, Butlers Hill, Crockham Road, Crockham Lane and vice versa.
Kays Lane, Hernhill
Kays Lane will be closed between Kemsdale Road and Church Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Hill, Fostall, Kemsdale Road and vice versa.
Staple Street, Hernhill
Staple Street will be closed between the junctions of Bull Lane and Church Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Bull Lane, The Street, Staple Street Road, Staple Street and vice versa.
Staple Street Road, Hernhill
Staple Street Road will be closed between the junctions of Church Hill and Bounds Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Staple Street, Bull Lane, The Street, Staple Street Road and vice versa.
Each road will be closed consecutively and pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
