Sevenoaks, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

SEVENOAKS AREA

Bayley’s Hill & Bowzell Green, Sevenoaks Weald, TN14 6HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bayley’s Hill and Bowzell Green, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 2 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bayley’s Hill House at the junction with Bayley’s Hill.

The alternative route is via Bayley’s Hill, Bowzell Green, Bowzell Road, Long Barn Road, Church Road, Hubbards Hill, Gracious Lane, Gracious Lane Bridge, White House Road and vice versa.

 

Billet Hill, Ash, TN15 7HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Billet Hill, Ash, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Merry Lees.

The alternative route is via Billet Hill, The Street, South Ash Road, Ash Lane, A20 London Road, Crowhurst Lane.

 

Bower Lane, Knatts Valley, TN15 6XS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bower Lane, Knatts Valley, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near the junction of Romney Street.

The alternative route is via A225 High Street/Station Road/Shoreham Road, Pilgrims Way East, Row Dow, Birchin Cross Road and vice versa.

 

Canada Farm Road, South Darenth, DA4 9LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Canada Farm Road, South Darenth, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 2 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed near the junction of Three Gates Road.

The alternative route is via Scudders Hill, Valley Road, Fawkham Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, Canada Farm Road, Pinden and vice versa.

 

Carter’s Hill, Underriver, TN15 0SD (PROHIBITION OF NORTHBOUND TRAFFIC) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To facilitate the Tonbridge Lion’s Triathalon event, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit northbound through traffic on Carter’s Hill, Underriver, on or after 6th May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the event has been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Mill Lane to St Julians Road, between the hours of 07:00 and 13:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route is via Bank Lane, B245 London Road, Morleys Roundabout, A225 Riverhill, St Julians Road.

 

Collet Road, Kemsing, TN15 6SG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new water connection, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Collet Road, Kemsing, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 14.

The alternative route is via Collet Road, Childsbridge Lane, Dynes Road, Northdown Road and vice versa.

 

DARENT VALLEY 10K ROAD RACE - VARIOUS ROADS, SEVENOAKS  (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Darent Valley 10K Marathon 12th May 2024

For the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the highway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to restrict traffic on various roads as defined below.

High Street, Eynsford Road, Eynsford
Northbound from the entrance to Anthony Roper School to the junction with Gorse Hill Southbound from 150 yards North of Priory Lane up to the entrance to Anthony Roper School

High Street, Farningham
In both directions between its junction with Eynsford Road and Sparepenny Lane

Sparepenny Lane, Farningham/Eynsford
In both directions between its junction with High Street, Farningham and Riverside
Diversion: from Wested Lane/Crockenhill Lane via the A20 and Eynsford Road

Lullingstone Lane, Eynsford
In both directions between Riverside and Lullingstone Castle

The Order will be effective when required on Sunday 12th May 2024 between 08.30hrs and 10.30hrs. The restrictions/prohibitions specified in this notice will apply in the direction and only at such times as indicated by traffic signs in operation.

Nothing in the Order will apply to:

•  Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services.

•  Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.

•  Anything done with the permission or at the direction of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.

 

Finch Green, Chiddingstone Hoath, TN8 7DJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Finch Green, Chiddingstone Hoath, on or after 9th May 2024 for up to 1 day between 08.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Blacksmiths Cottage.

The alternative route is via Coldharbour Road, Smarts Hill, B2188 Fordcombe Road, Grove Road and vice versa.

 

Goodley Stock Road, Westerham, TN16 1SL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the replacement of a telegraph pole, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Goodley Stock Road, Westerham, on or after 25th April 2024 for up to 2 days between 09.00hrs and 17.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed adjacent to 4, Squerryes Home Farm Cottages.

The alternative route is via Goodley Stock Road, B269 Kent Hatch Road, A25 Westerham Road and vice versa.

 

St Marys Road, Swanley,   BR8 7BU (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of St Marys Road, Swanley, on or after 24th April 2024 for up to 10 days or until the works have been completed.

Parking will be prohibited between 1a - 3.
