What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

Admiral Road, Hucking (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Admiral Road, Hucking, on or after 23rd April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Bicknor Park, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Admiral Road, Church Road, Broad Street Hill, Pilgrims Way, Hollingbourne Hill and vice versa.

 

Bow Bridge, Wateringbury, ME18 5GA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow level crossing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bow Bridge, Wateringbury, on or after 27th April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the Bow Bridge Level Crossing, between the hours of 00:01 and 04:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bow Bridge, Bow Hill, Kenward Road, B2010 Yalding Hill, B2010 High Street, B2162 Benover Road, B2162 Hampstead Lane, Station Road, B2015 Maidstone Road and vice versa.

 

Charlton Lane, East Sutton, ME17 3DL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Charlton Lane, East Sutton, on or after 25th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Church Lane to Chartway Street, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Charlton Lane, Chartway Street, Workhouse Lane, Church Lane, Charlton Lane and vice versa.

 

East Street, Hunton, ME15 0RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow frame and cover replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Street, Hunton, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Stonewall. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via East Street, Hunton Hill, Upper Hunton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Staplehurst Road, B2079 Maidstone Road, Underlyn Lane, Green Lane, Hunton Road, East Street and vice versa.

 

Eyhorne Street, Hollingbourne, ME17 1UF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow electric cable upgrading to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Eyhorne Street, Hollingbourne, on or after 6th May 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Snagbrook, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Eyhorne Street, Upper Street, Hollingbourne Hill, Court Dane Shaw, Swanton Lane, The Street, Primrose Lane, Bredgar Road, Hearts Delight Road, Wrens Road, Sutton Baron Road, Pond Farm Road, Oad Street, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Detling Hill, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Detling Interchange, A249 Sittingbourne Road, A249 Newham Court Roundabout, Bearsted Road, New Cut Road, A20 Ashford Road, Eyhorne Street and vice versa.

 

Harple Lane, Detling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Harple Lane, Detling, on or after 9th May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside East Lodge, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Harple Lane, Pilgrims Way, A249 Sittingbourne Road and vice versa.

 

Honey Lane, Otham Street, Simmonds Lane & White Horse Lane, Otham, ME15 8SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gully cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Honey Lane, Otham Street, Simmonds Lane & White Horse Lane, Otham, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

Honey Lane will be closed from The White Horse to junction of Stoneacre Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Otham Street will be closed from the junction of Simmonds Lane to The Limes, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Simmonds Lane will be closed from the junction of Simmonds Lane to the junction with Honey Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

White Horse Lane will be closed from The White Horse to junction of Simmonds Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic for Otham Street and White Horse Lane is via Otham Street, Green Hill, Otham Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Willington Street, A274 Sutton Road, Gore Court Road, White Horse Lane and vice versa.

The alternative route for any through traffic for Honey Lane is via Honey Lane, New Road, A274 Sutton Road, Gore Court Road, White Horse Lane and vice versa.

 

Knowle Hill, Lenham, ME17 1ES (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knowle Hill, Lenham, on or after 25th April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Knowle Hill Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knowle Hill, Pye Corner, Windmill Hill, Knowle Hill Lane and vice versa.

 

Lenham Road, Headcorn (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow overhead fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Headcorn, on or after 28th April 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Ghyll House, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Liverton Hill, Lenham Road, Ulcombe Hill, Headcorn Road, Tilden Road, Lenham Road and vice versa.

 

Oakwood Road, Maidstone, ME16 8AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oakwood Road, Maidstone, on or after 10th May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 70, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oakwood Road, Bower Mount Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, Oakwood Road and vice versa.

 

Old Lenham Road, Wichling, ME9 0DP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Old Lenham Road, Wichling, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Faversham Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Old Lenham Road, Faversham Road, Old Lenham Road and vice versa.

 

Paynes Lane, Maidstone, ME15 9QU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Paynes Lane, Maidstone, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with A229 Loose Road and Boughton Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Boughton Lane, A229 Loose Road, Paynes Lane and vice versa.

 

Salts Lane, Loose, ME15 0BD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow electric works to take place, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Salts Lane, Loose, on or after 23rd April 2024 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Spring Field. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Salts Lane, Hubbards Lane, B2163 Heath Road, A229 Linton Road, Old Loose Hill, Salts Lane and vice versa.

 

Teston Road, Offham, TN15 7RU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Teston Road, Offham, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 46 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Mount Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2016 Seven Mile Lane, A26 Tonbridge Road, A228 Malling Road, A228 Ashton Way, King Hill, Teston Road and vice versa.

 

The Street, Frinsted, ME9 0TQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Frinsted, on or after 10th May 2024 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Copes Farm. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via The Street, Twin Hills Lane, Bottom Pond Road, Frinsted Lane, Gossy Hill Road, The Street and vice versa.

 

White Horse Lane, Otham, ME15 8YF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow new bellmouth and cycle lane to be installed, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of White Horse Lane, Otham, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 14 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Pentecost Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via White Horse Lane, Gore Court Road, A274 Sutton Road, New Road, Honey Lane, White Horse Lane and vice versa.

 

Willington Street & Deringwood Drive, Maidstone, ME15 8QX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow highway construction and signal replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Willington Street & Deringwood Drive, Maidstone, on or after 12th May 2024 for up to 15 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Willington Street and Deringwood Drive, between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any northbound through traffic on Willington Street is via A274 Sutton Road, A229 Loose Road, A229 Sheals Crescent, Postley Road, Hayle Road, A229 College Road, A229 Palace Avenue, A229 Lower Stone Street, A249 Wat Tyler Way, A20 Ashford Road and Willington Street.

The alternative route for any southbound through traffic on Willington Street is via A20 Ashford Road, A249 Wat Tyler Way, A229 Upper Stone Street, A229 Loose Road, A274 Sutton Road and Willington Street.

The alternative route for any through traffic on Deringwood Drive is via Mallards Way, Spot Lane, A20 Ashford Road and Willington Street.

 

Windmill Hill, Ulcombe, ME17 1LR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Windmill Hill, Ulcombe, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Wyatangi, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Windmill Hill and vice versa.
