Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

A226 Rochester Road, Gravesend, DA12 4TH (CYCLE LANE SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Street Lighting works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on part of A226 Rochester Road, Gravesend, on or after 24th April 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane will be suspended between Chalk Road and number 339.

 

B261 Dover Road East, Gravesend, DA11 0RF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B261 Dover Road East, Gravesend, on or after 22nd April 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 59.

The alternative route is via B261 Dover Road East/Old Road West, Pelham Road South, Perry Street, Earl Road, Vale Road and vice versa.

 

Alexandra Road, Gravesend, DA12 2QZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of SGN works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alexandra Road, Gravesend, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 3A.

The alternative route is via Denton Street, Waterton Avenue, Mark Lane, Lower Range Road, Alexandra Road and vice versa.

 

St Thomas Avenue, Gravesend, DA11 7QN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Thomas Avenue, Gravesend, on or after 7th May 2024 for up to 1 night between 19.00hrs and 06.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with A227 Wrotham Road.

The alternative route is via A227 Wrotham Road, Cross Lane West, Trosley Avenue, St Thomas Avenue and vice versa.

 

VARIOUS FOOTPATHS, VIGO, GRAVESHAM (PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS & CYCLES) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of gas mains replacement by SGN, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic as per the below.

6 May 2024 for 15 weeks:

The Coach Drive - Footpath between Waterlow Road and The Paddock
The diversion route is via:
The Coach Drive, Waterlow Road
The Coach Drive, Waterlow Road, The Paddock

Bramblebank - Footpath Between The Paddock and Timberbank
The diversion route is via:
Bramblebank, Waterlow Road, The Paddock
Bramblebank, Waterlow Road, Timberbank

Timberbank - Footpath side of 101
The diversion route is via Timberbank.

Croftside - Footpath side of properties 1-22
The diversion route is via The Gallops, Waterlow Road.

Waterlow Road - Footpath side of 49 - side of 4
The diversion route is via Churchside.

6 May 2024 for 8 weeks:

Hornbeams - Footpath side of 2 Chestnut Lane – side of 1 Hornbeams
The diversion route is via Chestnut Lane.

Beech Mast - Footpath Between The Coppice – side of 26
The diversion route is via Erskine Road, The Coppice.

 

VARIOUS ROADS, VIGO, GRAVESHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of gas mains replacement by SGN, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic as per the below.

Timberbank - Waterlow Road to Stonecroft
22nd April 2024 – 29th July 2024
The diversion route is via Stonecroft, Croftside, Waterlow Road and vice versa.

Highview – Junction with Erskine Road
6th May 2024 – 29th July 2024
The diversion route is via Erskine Road.

Stonecroft - Whole length
27th May 2024 – 29th July 2024
The diversion route is via Timberbank, Waterlow Road, Stonecroft Road and vice versa.

Waterlow Road – Timber Bank – J/W Churchside
10th June 2024 - 29th July 2024
The diversion route is via Erskine Road, Harvel Road and vice versa.

Croftside - Junction with Waterlow Road
17th June 2024 – 29th July 2024
The diversion route is via Stonecroft, Timber Bank, Waterlow Road and vice versa.
