((CIVIL ENFORCEMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTRAVENTIONS) (VARIOUS STREETS) (ROCHDALE TOWNSHIP) ORDER 2008) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 217) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council, in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to amend the Borough of Rochdale (Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Rochdale Township) Order 2008, by inserting the following:-
Schedule No. 1.1
No Waiting at Any Time
Sir Isaac Newton Way, Kingsway Ward
n(i) the south side from a point 50 metres east of its roundabout junction with John Milne Avenue for a distance of 17 metres in an easterly direction, within the exit taper of the lay-by
n(ii) the south side from a point 137 metres west of its
junction with John Collier Avenue for a distance of 21 metres in a westerly direction, within the entry taper of the lay-by
n(iii) the north side from a point 54 metres west of the extended north-westerly kerb line of its westerly junction with Michael Faraday Avenue for a distance of 19 metres in a westerly direction, within the exit taper of the lay-by.
n(iv) the north side from a point 112 metres west of the extended north-westerly kerb line of its westerly junction with Michael Faraday Avenue for a distance of 21 metres in an easterly direction, within the entry taper of the lay-by George Stephenson Avenue, Kingsway Ward
n(i) both sides in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Sir Isaac Newton Way for its full length
Charles Babbage Avenue, Kingsway Ward
n(i) both sides in an easterly direction from its junction with John Milne Avenue for its full length
John Boyd Dunlop Drive, Kingsway Ward
n(i) both sides in a westerly direction from its junction with John Milne Avenue for its full length
James Watt Drive, Kingsway Ward
n(i) both sides in a south-easterly direction from its junction with John Milne Avenue for its full length
James Brindley Avenue, Kingsway Ward
n(i) both sides in a north-westerly direction from its junction with John Milne Avenue for its full length

Waiting Limited, 40 minutes, No Return within 2 hours Sir Isaac Newton Way, Kingsway Ward
n(i) the south side from a point 158 metres west of its junction with John Collier Avenue for a distance of 20 metres in a westerly direction
n(ii) the north side from a point 73 metres west of the extended north-westerly kerb line of its westerly junction with Michael Faraday Avenue for a distance of 16 metres in a westerly direction
A copy of the proposed Order and a plan showing the lengths of road concerned together with a Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be viewed on the Council’s website www.rochdale.gov.uk/roads, or by phoning Highways on 0300 303 8879 to request a copy via post.
Objections to the proposed Order, stating the grounds on which they are made, must be made in writing and forwarded to trafficorders@rochdale.gov.uk or, alternatively, to Network Management, Floor 2, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU to reach the Council on or before 8th May 2024, quoting H60/1413.
