Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
ASHFORD AREA
A252 Canterbury Road, Charing, TN27 0EU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow tree maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of A252 Canterbury Road, Charing, on or after 10th May 2024, for up to one day, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Long Beech Park, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A252 Charing Hill, A20 Maidstone Road, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Maidstone Road North Of Drovers Roundabout, Simone Weil Roundabout, A28 Simone Weil Avenue, A2042 Canterbury Road, A2041 Faversham Road, A251The Green, A251 Buck Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bethersden Road, Woodchurch, TN26 3QY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bethersden Road, Woodchurch, on or after 25th April 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.00 and 17.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Bourne Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Bethersden Road, Plurenden Road, Redbrook Street, Bethersden Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Bramble Lane, Wye, TN25 5HB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bramble Lane, Wye, on or after 23rd April 2024, for up to 9 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of 2a Bramble Villas, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Harville Road, A28 Canterbury Road, Bramble Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chapmans Close, Challock, TN25 4AY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chapmans Close, Challock, on or after 22nd April 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 18, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential and emergency access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Fridd Lane, Bethersden, TN26 3DU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Fridd Lane, Bethersden, on or after 7th May 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Coach House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Fridd Lane, Pluckley Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge, TN26 2NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge, on or after 23rd April 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Canal Farm Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Hamstreet Road, Ruckinge Road, Cock Lane, The Street, Ashford Road, Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, A2070 From J A2070/B2080 Roundabout To J A2042, Hamstreet Bypass, Hythe Road Roundabout, A2070 J A2042 Roundabout, Bad Munstereifel Slip East Bound On, A2070 From J A2042 To M20 J10 Roundabout N, Bad Munstereifel Road, Barrey Road, A2070 From A2070 Sevington Roundabout To M20 J10a Roundabout E, Link Road Between Junction 10a M20 To A2070, A20 A2070 M20 J10a Roundabout, Hythe Road, Main Road, Barrow Hill, Otterpool Lane, Aldington Road, Roman Road, Knoll Hill, Bonnington Road, Bilsington Road and vice versa.

Lower Ensden Road, Chilham, CT4 8BA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Ensden Road, Chilham, on or after 23rd April 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Lower Ensden Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Lower Lees Road, Selling Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Magpie Hall Road, Kingsnorth. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Magpie Hall Road, Kingsnorth, on or after 26th April 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Ashford Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Ashford Road, Hamstreet Road, Hornash Lane, Tally Ho Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
North Street, Ashford, TN24 8TE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & TEMPORARY ONE-WAY SUSPENSION) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of North Street, Ashford, on or after 22nd April 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Itaca’s, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The One-Way Order on Park Street will be suspended for the duration of the works, from the junction with North Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via High Street, Station Road, Elwick Road, Church Road, Vicarage Lane, Station Road, Wellesley Road, Park Street, North Street and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Peening Quarter Road, Wittersham, TN30 7NP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Peening Quarter Road, Wittersham, on or after 9th May 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Lordings Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Peening Quarter Road, B2802 Smallhythe Road, Rolvenden Road, Rolvenden Hill, Tenterden Road, A28 Hastings Road, Station Road, A268 Whitebread Lane, A268 Main Street, A268 Rye Road, B2082 Iden Road, Wittersham Road, Rye Road, Stocks Road, Wittersham Road, B2802 and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sparrow Hatch Lane, Ashford. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sparrow Hatch Lane, Ashford, on or after 28th April 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 06.00 and 18.00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the rail bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Sparrow Hatch Lane, Bethersden Road, Pluckley Road, Dowle Street Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Susans Hill, Woodchurch, TN26 3RD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow renewal works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Susans Hill, Woodchurch, on or after 22nd April 2024, for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of “Ruxley”, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Susans Hill, Haycross Lane, B2067 Brook Street, Front Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Tally Ho Road, Kingsnorth, TN26 1HJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tally Ho Road, Kingsnorth, on or after 22nd April 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of number 41, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Chilmington Green Road, Ashford Road, Woodchurch Road, Bethersden Road, Plurenden Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Worten Road, Great Chart, TN23 3BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER APRIL 2024
To allow maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Worten Road, Great Chart, on or after 24th April 2024, for up to 3 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of North Barn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Godinton Lane, Water Fall Road, Park Drive, The Street, Bethersden Road, Bears Lane, Etchden Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
